Stephan tested my AC system, and provided not only feedback on bringing it up to snuff, but also several other items that need attention soon. Fast, professional service. Great mechanics, and clean, neat facility. Fairly convenient location. Fills all my service needs. Thanks guys !!

Everything was done as talked about and a phone call from them about some other problems to resolve got done also! Great work!

The driver's door did not work. They could have charged me for a whole new door lock, but they took a tiny part off a door lock they had waiting for another customer, ordered him the replacement part, and fixed my door with the tiny part. These guys are stand up, trustworthy businesspeople. They seem like the brothers or nephews you've always wanted. I've been a customer for over 10 years and plan to remain so. And I recommend them without hesitation.

I have had several improvements done to my 1985 Vanagon in the last year, along with a complete transmission overhaul. Stephan’s Auto Haus has become a trusted go to shop, which is great because of my limited knowledge. I’m really happy with everything they have done and in the case that it is not perfect the first time (rarely) they work to make it so. I really appreciate them for keeping me out on the road exploring. Thanks.

I drive 5.5 hours one-way to this shop because of their dedication, skill and commitment to the restoration and repair of the VW Vanagon. Plus I know I will always receive respectful, clear and complete customer service. I especially appreciate that I am not treated differently because of my perceived gender and I remain confident that my hard-earned money is well spent and my investment will be well cared for (and vastly improved!) while in their hands. I highly recommend their 1.8T conversion; it is a bomber, ultra-low emissions motor that will allow the Vanagon "Breadbox" to keep up with modern traffic, even accelerate into the fast lane!

Eric said the business was very good, they kept him informed of what was going on and what the possible prices would be to fix his vehicle.

We purchased our 2002 EuroVan Camper used, 7 years ago. It was in excellent cosmetic and good mechanical condition. We have had Stephan's perform its maintenance since, and install a number of upgrades including a ATF cooler, Fiamma awning, Scangauge, and better shocks. Excellent work every time. What we like most is that these folks are honest and will tell you exactly what may need to be fixed and give honest options. Prices are also honest, not cheap but fair for the quality of work and advice given. We totally trust Stephan's and will have our EVC serviced here for the rest of its lifespan with us. There aren't many honest repair shops like this one around that specialize in VW vans.

I've had my Syncro Westy for 20 years and lived all over the country courtesy of the military. I've been to countless VW Van shops and never been as satisfied with the work and communication as with SAH. I heard about SAH due to their 1.8T conversion. I drove my van to Sacramento from Seattle since I was having problems that could not be remedied by three different shops in the Seattle area. Within days the initial problem was taken care of and over some additional time they knocked out a list of other issues I was having. When I picked up the van, Scotty went thoroughly through everything that was done and I got to talk to Stephan and Tyler (they did the majority of the work on my van) about what they found and recommendations they had. My van is driving better than it ever has before and I could not be more impressed with the customer service from the team at Stephans Auto House. Highly recommended!

We are thrilled with the results of the work performed on our '90 Syncro Westy to ensure our vehicle met California's stringent Smog Check Program! My first meeting with owner Stephan White was for a consultation on whether Stephan's Auto Haus (SAH) could refactor my VW 1.8T build to conform to the SAH Executive Order D-712. Stephan was friendly, thoughtful, informative and encouraging. Next, the staff at SAH worked out a plan that kept cost to a minimum, preserving as much of the original build as practical without compromising the conformance to their EO and the satisfaction of the BAR-Referee. Once the project was underway, regular updates by service advisor Scotty, and the final product effected by Vanagon technician Tyler, were professional, communicated clearly, and respectful of the base build. They were attentive to detail, thorough in their execution, and friendly throughout the project. We can enthusiastically recommend Stephan's Auto Haus!

I drive over an hour to Stephan's. So, I find that if we communicate in advance via email and plan service visits in advance, all goes smoothly. This time, I didn't need to leave "Phyllis" overnight, so I took my brother-in-law, who lives in Sacramento, out for brunch.
