"Honest and thorough "
I brought my 2006 Audi in with a host of issues. Scott and his team had a loaner available for me, even on short notice. They took care of all my car's problems efficiently and reasonably. They were pleasant and explained things thoroughly. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

"Brake repair"
I am very disappointed that I just paid close to $700 for a brake repair that apparently was a waste of money. Now
I am told that another $1300 or so is needed to make the car drivable . I guess it was just my misfortune that a nearly
$700 repair was needed to find out another $1300 is necessary. I suppose that is the unfortunate side of car repairs!
(I don't know if any other shop could have discovered what was wrong with the car BEFORE the $700 repair so my
rating is skewed as is my recommendation. Sorry I can't put an explanation next to both.)

Hello Diane and Kevin,

 

I want to apologize that you are disappointed with your last experience at our shop regarding your brake repairs.  I hope that we did everything possible to explain the situation with your brake issue.   I know we spoke with Kevin throughout the repair, and Diane left the review.  I hope that something didn’t get lost in communication between us all.  We strive to always do the right thing for our clients and communicate as thoroughly as possible. 

I know that you had brake pads and rotors replaced at another facility and were having issues with that service.  You were feeling a drag in the rear brakes at times, and some smoke.  Also requesting we flush the brake fluid. 

We road tested the vehicle with no problem.  We checked the brakes, removed the calipers to check the caliper operation, saw that the calipers had broken brake bleeders and torn piston boots.  With the broken brake bleeders we were unable to test the hydraulics of the brakes.  At that point we discussed replacing the hoses and calipers for further testing and repair and performing the brake fluid flush. 

Upon replacing of the calipers to repair both the torn piston boots and broken bleeders and performing the brake fluid flush a computer controlled automated bleed of the ABS system was performed and at that time we saw problems with the abs hydraulic unit.   No trouble codes are present for the ABS system at this time to point toward an ABS issue.  Without replacing the calipers this could not have been found.  Also if the ABS hydraulic unit was to be replaced, the calipers would have had to be replaced also so that the system could have been bleed and the piston boots replaced.  Either way this was a necessary repair to determine the problem with the vehicle, flush the brake fluid, or a piece of the entire repair with the ABS unit replacement. 

Again I apologize if there was any miscommunication throughout this process.
