Lorna said this business was not supposed to charge her as much as they did and they did not clean the tubes. This service took a lot longer than planned. They talked about her mechanic in a manner she did not like, even though he referred her to this business.

Service D. from Auto Shop Northwest Inc responded on 11/11/2011 04:08 PM
Lorna had been referred to us by another local shop who had determined her vehicle's computer needed to be reprogrammed. The intent was to repair a failure in the emissions system causing the "Check Engine" light to stay illuminated. Upon arrival at Auto Shop Northwest, our technician noted that this particular year and model vehicle had a common failure with clogging of the EGR system causing the concern. Performing the requested service would not take care of her vehicle's problem. A revised estimate was presented to Lorna for the proper repair; she then authorized the work which was completed that day. The vehicle was retested after being repaired and the affected system was now fully operational and the "Check Engine" light is no longer illuminated. We are sorry that Lorna was unhappy with our service; however, we feel confident in our decision to sell the proper repair instead of performing a service that would not have addressed her vehicle's issue.
