Review for Capitol Cadillac Lansing Body Shop
Vivian H. on 05/29/2013
Vivian said she wasn't happy. She was supposed to have her vehicle back in 10 days. It took 22 days. The 2 fenders and 2 doors weren't fixed right the first time. She had to take it back. She had trouble getting her vehicle started. They said she needed a new starter. It was working fine before the accident. The insurance company wasn't going to pay for it. She had to pay $255 out of her own pocket plus the $500 deductible. She stated she didn't think that was right since it had been working. She picked up her vehicle in the rain, it was pouring. She didn't get to inspect the vehicle well because of the rain. She noticed later the molding was put on with double sided tape. The first time the vehicle is washed it will come off. The windshield was also cracked. They said they would replace it. The vehicle has a silver bumper and a plastic guard which isn't connected to the bumper. It was only connected on the ends. It needs to be connected in the middle. She will have them fix it when they fix the windshield. The representative, Mitch, did the best he could with the authority he had. The inside of her vehicle hadn't been vacuumed. It was pretty dirty from sitting there for 22 days. She was never kept adequately informed during the repair process. She had no communication with them. That was the problem. They only called just before closing to tell her to pick up her vehicle. The body work looks good. They did give her a rental vehicle for 1 day. That she appreciated. She is unhappy for having to pay $255 for the mysterious starter that suddenly didn't work. The business is nice and clean. She would recommend them to people that have Cadillac vehicles.
