"Great Service Poor Quality "
My wife recommended Cooks. She use to have him work on her car before he opened his own business, so I thought it would be a great option other than the dealership. In fact, this was my first time not using the dealership. I have to say that the service was excellent!! Very friendly and welcoming. I went in for a radiator, and paid over $1,100. I left my car there overnight. Dealerships usually give a rental car option, this was not offered by Cooks, which was fine at the time. After picking up my car the next day, I drove it less than a mile and the radiator was leaking!! Fluid was spraying all over the engine from a broken seal on the radiator cap!!! This was a brand new radiator with new hoses!!! I paid over $1,100 and had to drive it back to Cooks immediately. They told me it had fluid build up and that is what I saw dripping from under the car. I told them its actually spraying out and showed them a video I took. At this point the associate yelled at someone in the garage "hey! The Altima is back and its leaking!! Can you check it out?!?" It was the seal that they did not replace. We are human and we make mistakes. Not a big deal. But I had to leave my car another whole day while trying to figure out how to get back and fourth to work. I picked up my car the next day, both associated were on the phone and did not acknowledge me with a welcome. They handed my car key to me and said thanks while still on the phone. I get into my car and the tire pressure light is still on...I assumed they would have put air in the tire as the dealerships usually do, as a courtesy. I have to say that I am not impressed. I was quite mad at the situation. 2 days of work for a 3-6 hour job and the job wasn't even completely finished. Would I go back? I'm not sure. I really liked the first impression I got. But did not like the last impression....which is more important? Guess we will find out when I need more work done. Or should I say, when I have the money to get more work done.
