Fixing the Gremlins
The antennae behind the rear bumper that recognizes the signal in the key fob stopped receiving the signal. The diagnosis was that the bumper was hit, and this broke the antennae. My insurance company agreed to pay for replacing the antennae. The antennae started working again a week before the car was repaired. The dealer replaced the antennae in a couple of hours. The dealer did a fine job.

My car has other Gremlins that come and go (e.g. the GPS clock stopped displaying the time for two weeks; and the console digital display stopped displaying the speed and mileage numbers - the options to display these numbers disappeared until the car was restarted).
