I went to GM Specialties for a transmission problem. KC and the owner spoke to me about the problem. The owner was awesome. He test drove the car, saw it was possibly a warranty item, called the dealer, and set up the appointment for service. I am not sure if that is normal practice, but it was much appreciated. The owner sent me on my way and we were off. When we arrived at the dealer my wife told me she had been given a bill for $149.00 for the vehicle to assessed. I was shocked and was actually hurt. I assumed that them assessing the problem was part of the excellent customer service they provide. To charge so much for 5 minutes of assessment work, that I thought was standard seemed a bit much. I am leery to see if it comes up again at any future visits, which would be upsetting.
