Contacted customer to clarify my understanding that customer was provided with the cost of $48.01 prior to any work being performed, and that customer authorized it. Customer was not aware of the fact that this price is for a semi-synthetic oil change and that the Dealer's price of $32.00 is likely for a mineral/conventional based oil change service.
Customer appreciated our follow-up and clarification. Offered customer a $10.00 credit on next oil change and reduced total price of $35.00 going forward on this lease vehicle.
Customer stated that this would allow him to continue to bring vehicle in to us due to the proximity of work to Interstate Auto Care.
