"The service people consistently work hard to help with any issues that come up with my vehicle."
My car's backup camera stopped working within the warranty period but the company didn't want to cover it due to a technicality. the service department fought to have the company pay and they won. I was thrilled.

Never felt more scammed after getting a vehicle serviced. Bill came in $200 over quote. Employee tried to upsell me on an unnecessary service. Service broke my rotor then made me pay to fix it.

Thanks for the feedback!  I am sorry your vehicle repair was not explained well enough to you.  I am certain once you do some research, you'll understand a bit more about the fairness of the charges on your vehicle.  Brake rotors are critical components in your brake system, but are little more than big hunks of metal.  In order to properly stop your vehicle, you need a flat surface for the brake pads to apply pressure.  Over the life of your vehicle, rotors wear unevenly and corrosion causes them to wear - we initially try to "cut" the rotors back to a flat surface.  This machining process actually cuts the metal on a lathe in passes that remove tiny (hundredths of an inch) strips of metal.  Unfortunately, sometimes the rotor condition before machining does not allow for a proper cut and the rotors would become too thin to safely stop your vehicle - and there is no way to know this before attempting to save you some $ by our initial attempt to salvage your rotors.  The additional charge above your initial quote was the cost of having to replace the brake rotors.  Many shops don't even attempt to save you money and instead immediately quote people the higher price for this exact situation: people are not educated on the process and often feel cheated.  I hope you take the time to do some research at independent sites (for example : https://www.cars.com/articles/2013/04/when-do-you-need-to-replace-your-brakes/ ).  I am here to answer any questions you may have - vehicle repairs can be a bit frustrating, but I hope you know that we are people from your community - people with families - people with a strong ethical foundation just like you - and we would never do anything that was not 100% professional and moral.
