I recently purchased my new Hyundai Elantra a year ago at Missoula Hyundai and I took it in because of torn seatbelts and the plastic around the gear shift falling apart. They told me they found a mouse nest and didn't even vacuum it up and said that the plastic falling apart is because I "spilt" something on it. I didn't spill something and even if I did it should not have cause the plastic to fall apart. I am so angry with their service and will never recommend them or buy a car there again.

I'm sorry for your recent experience with our service department.  Unfortunately damage from mice cannot be claimed under warranty per Hyundai's rules.  Our normal process is to hand wash and vacuum all cars that pass through our service department.  I must agree that spilling something on the plastic would normally not cause a failure of material.  I will revisit the work order and see if there is any remedy available to you.  If I can offer a complimentary cleaning of your vehicle please let me know.  We appreciate your business   Sincerely, Cary Larson
