Allen said he was not satisfied. He had a major problem with the service. There was a down time of about 20 minutes but they tried to charge him almost $500 for a down time of one hour and a half. He spoke with Good Sam's, his insurance company and they said they were told the down time was about one hour and a half. Somewhere along the line someone from this business lied to Good Sam's because it was found that the downtime had been half an hour at the most but more like 20 minutes. Then they said they were not able to hook up the vehicle because he had been in it. All together it still did not amount to the hour and a half they were trying to argue. Once the vehicle was towed, they told him that the mechanic would not look at his vehicle until he settled with the downtime they claimed of one hour and a half. It took about 40 minutes before they settled on 20 minutes of downtime but all the while the mechanic had been on the clock since 4:00 pm so he was charged for this time as well. It seemed they were only trying to gouge $500 out of him. The mechanic did a good job and he was paid $1,400 just to change the alternator. He got paid well. He would only recommend this business to his worst enemy.
