Mammad said he scheduled an appointment for Friday but this business did not start work on his vehicle until Monday. They advised him that they would leave the keys in the vehicle so he would be able to pick it up after hours. However, when he drove an hour out of his way in order to pick the vehicle up not only were the keys not in it but it was still disassembled. They did not communicate well and they did not return his calls. When he took it in for an issue with the water pump they told him that there was nothing wrong with the water pump and they fixed something else instead. The next day they admitted that there was something wrong with the water pump.

Hi,
 We apologize for not putting your keys in the car. We rarely make such a mistake. We are sorry. Addressing the technical aspect of your car problem is easy to explain and we felt that you agreed with what happened. You did previously have another person replace the upper thermostat housing but this time it was the lower housing leaking which is located in a different place on the engine. So when the car arrived there was reduced coolant pressure. This leak had to be fixed and once it was, coolant pressure was restored. After a test drive, there was coolant coming out of the timing cover "weep hole". This design is to alert a mechanic that the water pump is leaking. You cannot physically see the water pump. There was no evidence of a water pump leak until after the system was "sealed" and pressurized. Unfortunately, a water pump replacement on your vehicle is expensive. There were other problems with your vehicle and we all agreed that the investment may not prudent. Please understand as we explained that there was no way to prove that the water pump was leaking until which time pressure was restored. We always follow correct procedures, especially when an older vehicle has not experienced proper maintenance.  We wish wish you well in your persuit for another vehicle.
