I've been taking vehicles here for years, and usually receive good service. This time, though, many things were less than satisfactory. First, after getting a flat tire on my drive to work, I changed the tire, got to work, and called VA Tire & Auto to schedule a service appointment for that afternoon. Yet, when I arrived, they had no record of my appointment. I agreed to get two new back tires and an alignment, and was told the work would take about two hours. I arranged for a ride home, and returned later to learn that additional work would be required to get the vehicle in proper alignment, and that work couldn't be completed until the next day (strike two). VA Tire/Auto provided a loaner car for me (handled smoothly and well; the most positive part of a frustrating experience), and I returned the next afternoon, paid for the services, and went to my vehicle, where I discovered the spare tire, jack, etc. sitting open in the trunk, rather than being re-stowed and re-stored...strike three. I confirmed with the service desk that it should have been stowed (the vehicle had been there for 24 hours at this point, and the work was to have been completed in the morning), but did not have time for this to be done then, as I had an appointment elsewhere.
