My car died on me. It’s a push button start and would not turn the light off suggesting the
engine was on while the engine was not running and no power going to the car. I didn’t know if it was safe to jump (my last cars were all key/manual entry and start). I called all the auto shops nearby. Most treated me like I was ignorant (all men, I’m a woman) and gave me responses such as “just have it towed and bring it in honey”.
The. I called Patti. She asked I I had jumper cables (yes) and if I was familiar with using them (yes) and explained my situation. Yes I could jump it, and no skipping steps on doing it because it may spark at me if there’s a little juice still (it did). I got it to her and she and her team did a diagnostic. She was honest about the time it would take to diagnose it and related some of the likely and unlikely problems it could be. She set up text notices and kept me apprised as promised. She had my car back same-day, didn’t over charge, and didn’t give me the run around.
Wow. So much integrity. Honest, friendly, high quality service. I will be back!!
I've been going to Cowden since before I bought my current 2001 Toyota Echo and I've taken that car o
nly to Cowden for its servicings. They are always on top of what's needed, always provide a clear estimate that they don't exceed without consulting with me, and they deliver their work on time. Most highly recommended!!
I drive 175 miles to get all my work done at sf Bmw because i know my car will get the attention that
it needs. Chris Kuehn my service advisor is always upfont and honest with me and tells me what to expect in the future. He is truly knowledge about all bmws. If you love your car take it where they care. I highly recommend this dealership.
I have been looking for a reliable auto shop for a long time, and I'm really really glad I found Yama
to auto repair. The guys there are friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and don't appear greedy--i.e. pushing you and talking to replace things you don't need. They take time and talk to you about your car. They went over what was done and explained to you what is needed and what is not. It's their business but they also give out the feeling that they are also trying to help instead of trying to get as much money as they can from you. They sincerely thank you for doing business with them. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I feel their service is far superior than that at the dealer. I'm definitely going to help spread the words. Thanks to Yamato, I'm never going back to use the ridiculous dealer service again!
My salesman was great. Very responsive to my concerns, especially in light of the chip shortage resul
ting in a vehicle shortage. Different from many dealerships they were not asking for added dealer markup. They sold the Santa Cruz for MSRP. And I did not have to suffer through hours of sitting at a desk while my salesman had to go speak to a manager. Most of the tedious paperwork was done online. Even the finance guy was really good. He listened to me, offered me various options but there was no painful hard sell. I would certainly buy another car from them in the future, maybe an electric Ioniq 6. Worth the 30 minute drive away from the various automobile rows in San Jose, Santa Clara and Fremont, all who wanted a $3,000 to $5,000 mark up.
