Suzanna said her vehicle has been to the business multiple times. Every time she picks up her vehicle from the business something new is broken and no one takes responsibility for it. This is the second vehicle she has that has the same problem and she doesn't think its ok for the business to break something from the vehicle so the customer has to return.

Neal said he has had to take his vehicle back to the business multiple times for the same issue and it has not been resolved. He has already spent $3,000 on the repairs. He has a problem with his front end and he knows when he brings the vehicle back in for service they are going to charge him again. He is tired of paying for the same service instead of them fixing the issue. He would not recommend the business for service.

Dear Mr. Neal,

I am shocked to see this review, and was unaware that you are unhappy with our service or repair work.  ALL our work comes with a 24 month, 24,000 mile warranty.  If my Service Advisors gave you the wrong impression about this, then I need to know about it.  Kodiak is a small town, Please stop by the shop anytime if you wish to discuss this situation in person.

Alistair said the business took a long time to fix his problem. When he was on the phone with the employees, they kept telling him it was something that could be fixed the next day. When he went to the facility, it took them 3 weeks to fix the issue. The employees at the business were great guys, very friendly, it's just the length of time his vehicle took that was the issue.

Johnathan said he brought his vehicle to this business for them to check his parking brake. He asked them to only check his rear brakes since the parking brake has nothing to do with the front brakes. He went into pay and they tried charging him for inspecting the front brakes. They did take the charge off but they still tried to charge him for what he asked them not to do. He is very weary of mechanics but would recommend them for warranty work.

I do appologize for not meeting your expectations during your visit with us.  I was unaware there was an issue or concern untill your review here.  Our standard practice during a brake inspection is to check all the brakes, both front and rear.  On some model vehicles, the parking brake system and the service brakes work together.  I understand you only requested to have your parking brakes inspected, and apparently my front counter staff overlooked that particular request.  I have addressed your concerns with my employees and have taken steps so this will not happen again.  My sincere appologies.

Misfire

Hello Jim & Amy,  First thankyou for honest feedback about your visit with Midtown.  You are correct about having been in several times for the same issue.  We have been attempting different repairs to resolve the engine misfire issue, but it has been intermitant, comes and goes which has been very dificult to troubleshoot.  Concerns with the wiring have been ongoing, thankyou for your patience with our attempts to resolve this ongoing issue.

All the work seemed to have been done according to plan. There was a discrepancy on the invoice, though, where it said I did not need an air filter in one column, and it charged me for one in another. Also, quite a bit of fluid product was splashed around the engine bay, causing significant smoking after reaching operating temperature. Just because it was dusty and kinda greasy in there when I dropped it off, doesn't mean it's okay to add to it. The anti-freeze may have been overfilled, causing puddles of an attractive and deadly treat to pets. Also, the brakes feel spongy, which may just be an adjustment, but I think they should be firmer after a complete brake line flush and bleed. The people at Midtown are super pleasant and easy going.
