Salih said after the service, he addressed the issue to the staff member at the front desk. All that he heard from him was, okay. He did not offer to help with his concerns. He had informed them his front brakes were squeaking. They insisted it was the back brakes. He had left his vehicle, with a note attached in the drop off about the front brakes and the knocking noise on the front passenger side. They called and told him it would cost $1400. When he picked up the vehicle, they told him it needed an alignment. He took it elsewhere, where they told him the joints were breaking off, on the front passenger side. The other business had said there was nothing wrong with the front brakes, and they had changed the shock absorbers. They mis-diagnosed and replaced or fixed unnecessary parts.

Jerald said he went in to have his brake fluid flushed for $143. He was told that both his front and back brake pads needed to be replaced. He got a second opinion from another business and they said the back brake pads did not need to be replaced.

Poor communication/customer service
After two separate visits (3 days each), I am not sure what happened. Lots of words but no conclusion to why they struggled with our repair. I had to pay for the entire repair in advance which was odd because they kept messing up on the ordering of parts and the mechanic said it was costing him $ to have all these parts in his shop. It is now making noises that it did not make before and has to head back in. We have taken our car here for years and something has changed. New ownership? Once this repair is complete we will not be coming back. Not because we are mean angry people, because we did not feel confident with what was going on and they did not communicate clearly and effectively in multiple areas. You have got to feel confidence and trust when it comes to your mechanic.

No so honest...
Told me the wrong cylinder when I brought it in to them for diagnosis. Wanted almost $500 for a job that ANYONE can do, plugs and coils. They did point me in the direction of the problem for $160. That counts for something I guess??

Fine work but $85 for oil and filter is a bit much
I went on today. It was $85 for the oil and air filter to be changed. It also took close to 5 hours.

Well you asked
Clarkes installed this motor in my Jag years ago. I went in for a oil change. This car has never had synthetic oil but that is what was installed. Also coolent level low light came on a few days before the oil change and it still comes on in the morning when I start the car. Biggest problem is the hood is stuck and I can't get it open. So sorry--not happy'. My guess is there was either a change in management or mechanic. For years I loved this shop.

Roger said this business told him he needed a new hood release cable, which would cost him $500. He got a second opinion, and found out all it needed was to get popped into a bracket. It was an easy fix. This business should have caught it. Because they didn't, he doesn't trust them, and would not recommend the business. On the plus side, the employees are really nice. They have good communication, and provide good customer service.

Quick turn around time
Clarke's has always given me quick and good services. On the last service my drivers side windows were not rolled up all the way which soaked the Inside of my door panel and carpet, front and back. Nothing was said when I picked my car up and I didn't notice the carpet was soaked until a few days later when it started smelling. This was the first bad experience I've had there.

Ryan said this business took a week to get his vehicle back to him. He mentioned they were supposed to have fix all the tail lights and brake lights. They got most of them fixed but one tail light is still out. He also noted that they also did not fix the seatbelt.

Brake change
Brake lining lite continuing to come on (tech says a sensor they will fix), also "brake" lite still on dash as well so need to get turned off.
