Never go there. Bad dealership.
I'm not going there again. My car was working fine when I came into the dealership. I was there just to check the battery light. I told them I will return tomorrow to make repairs but when I tried to leave my car didnt start. I was forced to make repairs there. It was very fishy that the battery just died when I tried to leave.

mr park,
you brought your vehicle in for us to diagnose your warning light. your battery light was on due to a charging system failure causing the battery drain.
when i spoke to you i explained this would be a unsafe condition for you to drive. the options we discussed were have us fix it, tow to another location,or take your chances driving it. we discounted labor and installed a aftermarket part to save you money.
please call me if this is not correct.

Service center is not what it used to be.
The front staff is still awesome and very helpful. It seems the prices have gone up since becoming Russell. The level of service we have recived on a mechanical stand point leaves much to be desired. The car "magically" develops new issues and after the last trip the A/C that was working when it was taken in is now not working. Fully expect to be told that they "can't replicate the issue".

Poor communication and not customer service oriented
Repairs made on my car were not communicated to me prior to making them (granted they were covered under warranty). Other repairs that I requested were not fixed. When I picked up my vehicle, nothing was explained to me as to what was done and what wasn't and why. I had review the paperwork to see what has repaired and what wasn't. No ride service available. What dealership does not provide a ride to work or home within reason? Service Writer tried to diagnose problem while writing up the service order. He was way off, are they mechanics? Not happy with this Hyundai Dealership that appears to be under new ownership. I've been there many times before and never had any issues like this.

I receieved a call from Mike, we discussed the options more in depth about the issue on my car. We agreed I will be dropping off my car to attenpt another diagnostics test. Mike was very thorough avout the whole process of qhat will be done with my car. I am again a happy customer, thank you Mike!

DIS SATISFIED CUSTOMER
Had my car in for service, been having issues with my car randomly not turning on, tech said the probem couldn't be found, 1 week later my car just turned off while I was at a red light, it turned back on and made it home. Called Service Dept and was told to wait until it happened again, then call Hyundai Roadside Assistance and they would tow my car over...really? So wait to let it happen again,what if I'm on the freeway or somewhere else? Or was told I could drop off car and it would get worked on, but the tech didn't seem to really want to do that. Not feeling good about the outcome, called again and asked to speak with Service Dept. Manager, that was 3 days ago and have yet to hear back, pretty unprofessional and left a lasting impression.

Likely will not come back
This is the only dealer I have ever been to for servicing the car. I came in once and needed the entire day to find out the fuel sending unit needed to be replaced. The car is under an extended warranty, so the repair would be covered. BUT, you didn't know the car was under warranty somehow. This is despite the fact that you have serviced the car under warranty before. As a result, we have to call in and confirm the warranty status the following week after being quoted $700 for a repair that should have been covered. Further, we have to come in a second time to get the repair that could have been done on the first visit had you known about the warranty. Overall, a huge inconvenience and likely will not come back here. A major advantage of coming back to the dealer is that you should have your customers information on hand regarding things like warranty (especially considering you likely upsold the warranty in the first place when selling us the car). When you don't get this advantage, what's the point?

Timely service, no car wash.
I did basic old change. Pretty standard service so performed as expected but they did not wash the car which is the service I usually get at dealership of other marques.

I am giving the adviser 5 stars because he deserves it and he has not control over the pricing, but I am still displeased that it takes someone to complain in order to get a response regarding your high prices. Your charges are way out of comparison with place like Jiffy Lube and Pep Boys who also follow your recommended maintenance schedule. In 2014 we paid $27K+ for this vehicle and since then with only 22k miles we have been charged close to $800 in maintenance.
A bulb went out and you wanted $40 to change it. I paid $20 for it in Auto Zone and it took me less than 5 minutes to put it in.

PREVIOUS VISITS
All my previous visits had been great, so I thought. 1st issue is I took my car in last visit in and thought the recalls were both taken care of at that time. No one told me 1 part was on back order and it still needed to be done, until I sent an email about which service I was due for and the call back they told me the recall was never done on the brake pedal. So I made time for that and the service which was supposed to be about $225.00 with taxes etc. But when I got there I was advised I never had an injection service & it was also needed. Then a call later that my brakes were metal to metal, no service light came, nor has anyone said anything when I was there on my last visit they are about to need to be replaced. I bring my car to Hyundai as I figure you know what services are needed and it is supposed to be looked over every visit or that is what I am paying for anyways. And to find all this out after I get there, and when I am expecting car to be finished in 2 hours and ends up needing additional stuff was a real inconvenience. Had I known previously I would have planned for the cost and time accordingly. I am told that I pay a lot more going to Hyundai for my services. But I figure it is all in the computer there and I am paying to be advised what is needed & when it is needed, therefore peace of mind. I am rethinking if I will do my future services with Hyundai as I hear Garden Grove service dept is not very good either. Also, I left and was advised by a driver behind me black smoke was coming out of my car and had to go back to have checked.
This should have been told to me that it might happen for a few more miles due to injection cleaning, when I picked it up.

Upsetting to say the least
The facilities and people were nice enough just not sure they actually do the work that you pay for. Had a multi-point inspection and an alignment cost $700 drove off the lot with a flat tire.

Poor Communication
I used the online website to book an appointment for a recall repair, which was very convenient, but it was not made clear that the parts had to be ordered before I brought my car in, so I wasted a trip. Then the service rep said he would call me back in a few days when the parts are ready. Nobody called after a week, and when I called to confirm it was ready to bring my car in, it took 5 calls and a lot of forwarding around between the service and parts departments, to get an answer that the parts had arrived an it was good to bring the car in.

Strong Support for Customer Satisfaction
Took my car in for what was expected to be a warranty issue, but it turned out that it needed a maintenance procedure instead. Service Manager Mike followed up quickly and explained exactly why the procedure was needed and offered to include an additional service also, in the interest of customer satisfaction, which I really appreciated!

Disappointing Service Experience - High Cost and Poor Result
Took car in because the Check Engine light came on briefly and then went out, but I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong, and I expected any issues that could cause the Check Engine light to come on would be covered by warranty (the car is a 2012 but has only 14k miles), plus, I have the Extended Warranty. The service adviser said that there was a $140 diagnostic charge (seems quite steep to just connect a diagnostic monitor) but I agreed. Adviser came out later and said that the Check Engine code was just transitory and they couldn't find anything really responsible for it. But they recommended a fuel injector cleaning for $200 (with a courtesy discount to $180). At this point, it was either pay $140 for the diagnosis of nothing wrong, or pay $180 for a fuel injector cleaning, so I opted for the latter, although it basically seemed to me like extortion. So, after the fuel injector cleaning, the car, which had previously run as smooth as silk, now has a tremble at idle. To make matters worse, the car failed the CA smog test shortly after this service. Called to speak with the Service Manager about this, but he did not return the call. This whole episode leaves me very dissatisfied with both the car and the dealer, and it's not over yet - the car still needs to pass the smog test and I don't know what is needed to make that happen.
