Amy was rude and unhelpful
Son's alternator was failing so dropped car there. My son had used this company before. Quote was higher than expected and for rebuilt unknown brand. When I tried to inquire about the quality of the "remanufactured" unit which was only $80 less than new Honda unit, and asked if there were other options, Service rep just got mad and told me to come pick up the car. I explained that I live in another city and we are just trying to make a good decision and mentioned that my son had used them before. She stated: "No he hasn't. You can just come pick up the car!"

Bad diagnosis
I have been taking my SUV there for servicing but just recently I was told that I had a failing front differential. They would not repair it or put a used one. I took their advice and had a used one put in at the dealership. Turns out that wasn't the problem. I told Suddeth's that I suspected a bad wheel bearing. As it turned out it WAS both front wheel bearing failing. The cost was very high. 2 trips to the dealer and having it taken there on a roll back ended up costing me almost $2300.00. They didn't even check the warped brake rotor either. I won't go back.

They charge to much
I go to a place like this to save money,but they cost more than the dealer.they wanted $2,200.00 to replace (4) oxygen sensors on 2005 lexus LS and $800.00 to repair a lock. Yes they do good work but not that good. I got my car repaired for less than half of what they wanted.

The charge For Service Is As Much As The Dealer Maybe More.
To get a quote for $2,200.00 to install oxygen sensor, and $800.00 to fix the passenger side lock is robbery with a gun.

Thomas G., I understand your frustration in this situation. We identified several problems with this vehicle and presented this information to you as well as your warranty company. The warranty company decided not to cover all of the repairs needed on the vehicle. Unfortunately, we have no control over what repairs the third party warranty company decides to cover. We wish you much success in the future and hope you resolve any issues you may have with your warranty company in regards to what they choose to cover for your future car repair needs.

First Visit Lacked Luster
Tire pressures were all across the board - were they really checked or even rotated? Windows, mainly interior were not touched - is that normal? Carpet and mats were somewhat vaccuumed but had to ask for second vaccuuming for rear and console area - is that normal? I was really hoping to find someone for great service since I just recenlty moved downtown. i'm not sure Suddeth is the place??? Based upon what you "said" you did for what I paid for, I would not come back myself.

Fast, Friendly and Reliable Service!
I recently took my vehicle to get serviced at Suddeth Automotive. I had been searching a while for a reliable auto shop to start bringing my car to since I moved down to the Columbia, SC area. Suddeth went above and beyond in terms of customer service and I felt like I was getting thorough answers to my questions as well as sincere and honest feedback. I didn’t feel pressured into making confusing or unnecessary purchases during my visit like often is the case when using larger dealerships or national chain auto shops that are just looking to get your money. Mr. Suddeth and his staff were very genuine and friendly, could give me an accurate estimate of cost for repairs up front and they were able to explain their reasoning for each service my car required in a very straightforward and easy to understand manner. DON’T let the older looking building or physical appearance of their garage deter you from considering their business! They have been around for a while and it is clear why: they know what they are doing, they offer quality care at a reasonable price and actually value both you as a customer as well as your car’s long term maintenance. These are definitely the main reasons why they have stayed in business for so long and hopefully will stay around even longer! I was very pleased with the high-quality service and how quickly I was able to hear back from them and pick up my vehicle. It feels, looks, sounds and drives better than it has in a long time and I will definitely be returning again for regular vehicle maintenance and services. Thank you Suddeth Automotive for your honest and excellent work!

Always 5 stars!
Took my vehicle in for an oil change and rear brakes. I was called sometime later and told that I could hold off for awhile on replacing the rear brakes, still life left in them. It was a good day! Thanks Suddeths!!!! They treat you like family.

Quality service you can trust
I took my car in because of a red warning light that I could not identify. The staff promptly scheduled an appointment. After checking my system they determined my computer needed resetting. A very concerning situation resolved at minimum cost to me. It is always a pleasure to see the staff, that are friendly and always concerned with keeping my car in top shape.

Mike and his crew are awesome. Got a 60k checkup and oil change. Car was washed and work was done quickly and professionally. No attempt to sell me on things I didn't need.
