Kathy Bryan has been a valued customer for a lot of years and I feel bad that she felt taken advantage of. When I quoted her the price for the part it was an estimate. The part was a dealer part only and came with a wiring harness and valves - it ended up costing more than I had thought. This also meant that the labor was much more as there were additional parts that needed to be installed. I charged her the same labor that I quoted her and gave her my COST on the part. In addition we didnt charge her anything for the diagnosis. I hope all the good we have done over the years outweighs my error in misquoting the job. Thanks Kathy for letting us know how to improve.
Wes, sorry that you had to come back twice for the repair. The part we put on had longer bolts in the caliper housing so it rubbed and made a grinding noise. We should have gone on a longer test drive to make sure all was ok. We were trying to get you out the same day and took care of all cost of the labor and parts for warranty - even though it was beyond the warranty period.
Matthew came in with this vehicle running terrible. It was misfiring on all cylinders. We repaired a few vacuum leaks - which we did at no charge - and there was still an issue. We determined that we needed to check the spark plugs. I called Matthew and told him what we needed to do and gave him an estimate under the assumption that everything went good. His 04 Ford F150 with 171,000 miles had the originial spark plugs in it. It also has the famous 3 valve engine where the spark plugs break off in the head. I explained this to him and he said proceed. Three of the 8 plugs broke in the head. We spent three days trying to remove them - which we eventually did - and I called and informed him twice each day what was happening. I charged him 150 extra for our time to remove the broken plugs - which I had told him about. The Truck ran perfectly after. We appreciate your business and are disappointed you werent happy. The price was extremely fair considering all of the extra work we did and informed him of.
Thanks Kelly. Sorry your vehicle is still shimmying but we just did the alignment. An alignment wont make a vehicle shake. Generally that is the tires or wheels. We would be happy to check that out for you if you would like. Let us know.
Jeremy - Thank you for the response. There must have been some miscommunication. When you dropped her car off - without an appointment - you said that you were leaving out of town and you were in no rush to get the car. I called you to give you the diagnosis - which we did for free - and you said you didnt want to repair the vehicle. We will make sure to get back earlier in the future.
