Diagnostic charge
I brought my car in to get the air conditioning fixed and an oil change today. They only told me the price to get the air conditioner fixed and oil change, so I brought my car in. They didn't mention the cost for diagnostic testing! When they called me to say my compressor was the problem and that they couldn't fix my air conditioning without getting a new compressor which would cost me more than $900, I was shocked. I didn't have that kind of money today. But if I had known before hand that they were charging me a diagnostic fee of $100 I would've asked them to also check my brakes, because my breaks are squeaking. I felt very disappointed that they weren't upfront with me about what they were going to charge. I paid $156 that could've at least included them looking at my breaks to give me an estimate that I really need.

Boeing fellow with brake-to-fix easy job
Brake pad replacement with rotors re-surfacing (1st time) became a problem for Automedics. Poor quality re-surfacing together with after market pads produced a terrible squeaky sound on brake. That did not go away after 200 mi of driving.
They solved the problem.. forcing me to pay for native Subaru pads and new rotors. Result - 25% more money that at a dealership and 7 days of stressful driving . Also - they refused to give me a ride home 1.2 miles away. They made near 1000 bucks on me minus parts and tax for 2 hours.

Greg said he was very disappointed that staff did not check the thing he asked them to check. The codes they gave him were different from the codes he read with his own reader, after he paid his bill and picked up his vehicle. He stated he felt this was suspicious, and he was frustrated after he paid the high bill. He found out they did not do what he asked them to. He also had to wait for some time for staff to finish their phone calls, before finishing with him. Staff was nice, but he is very unhappy with his experience at this business.

Always the best
Had an intermittent noise issue with drive train so I just stopped by. Within an hour Jeff had it up looking at it, then test drove it. It was nothing (new different tires were creating an unusual road noise). Didn't want to charge me anything. Wow ... where does that happen today?

I am not really sure if I would recommend automedics to a friend. They tend to be costly because they charge $100 for diagnostics and that cost is not deducted from the repair cost. The last time I went, my problem actually got worse after the fix, so I don't think they fixed the right smoking gun. I guess I wouldn't recommend them overall. They are friendly, fast, and communicative though.

Dahon said the problem that he came in for still exists. He said he was charged for something that did not need to be fixed. The work that they performed made his vehicle run worse. He said his transmission blew out two days after they worked on it. He would not recommend this business because he said he felt they took advantage of him and they ripped him off.

Suzy said she had asked this business to do a tune up while they were doing other work to her vehicle. Jeff failed to forward that request to Keith so the tune up was not done. Jeff told her they have 2 mechanics and sometimes they do not communicate. They gave her a future estimate for $500. She said she feels the work could have been done much cheaper if they would have done it at this time. She would have recommended them to others before this visit but she will not recommend them now.

Not impressed
$50 for a "diagnostic", some fuses supposedly cleaned, and i walk away with the same car. Keith is a nice guy, but the light didn't even work when I got back to the office and I'm out $50.

James, In addition to the time spent checking pinout voltages, fuses, and cleaning connectors, I also recommended a combination switch for your vehicle, which you declined. Jeff and Keith. Just the best. ALWAYS do such a great job and super friendly and honest.
I've been taken by numerous mechanics in the past so what a pleasure to meet these two and have them work on all our family cars. I won't go anywhere else period. These guys are through, honest, friendly, fast and great at what they do. They have gone above and beyond in helping and understanding and communicating and we actually just stop by sometimes to say hi as they have become trusted friends as well as our EXCLUSIVE mechanics. Unbelievable service
We went in thinking we needed brand new struts. But all we needed was the control arms to be lubed up because the other mechanic made a rookie mistake and had replaced them without oiling them. Keith noticed this right away and get this— for a full diagnostic, parts and labor— $60! Can’t beat that. Bye bye, old mechanic.
