Misleading and deceitful dealership
Absolutely the most misleading deceitful car dealership I have ever encountered. I have never owned a Cadillac but have owned other GM products and European cars. We sat down with the salesman in regards to a demo XTS 2017. We were opting leasing over purchase. We were told the vehicle would lease for $490 per month for 39 months with 12000 miles per year. When we chose to lease it, the payment then became almost $700 per month! The manager came out and said yes, I apologize the figures were incorrect. Really? Is this a new sales tactic? Get you ready to close the deal on a car and think you'll pay whatever the "real" price is? I wouldn't even consider purchasing, leasing or any other business with this dealership. I can only imagine what goes on in the service Department when you bring a car in for service/repairs.

Coincidence??
I recently purchased a used truck from Cadillac of South Charlotte. Sure, the staff are very friendly and accommodating - all car salesmen are. After purchasing the vehicle with zero negotiation offered (apparently it's their 'policy'), I drove my truck off the lot. A few miles down the road the front headlight FALLS OUT and slams against my hood. I pull over on the interstate, remove it and go back to the dealership. They were accommodating but merely glued the headlight back in, leaving the actual repair to me later when I have to change the headlight. FOUR DAYS after driving my truck off the lot I get a check engine light. MAP Sensor is faulty and random misfires in the spark plugs. $300 fix within four days of having the vehicle. Called Cadillac of South Charlotte and, you guessed it, they told me "the light wasn't on here." It's easy to reset the computer and have the light come on later, which is what myself and my mechanic believe happened. It's too soon after purchase for it to be a coincidence. Now I know why they wouldn't do a 30 day warranty. Friendly guys at this place, but clearly peddling used cars that will fall apart once off the lot. Not impressed.

Candace said this business did not prepare her estimate but the insurance company did. Their first communication failed. She went into the office and they did not have the parts prepared. She had to go back a second day for that. She would not recommend them due to their communication. She went to them because this is where she gets her regular service. The first time she went to this business, they did not have her in their system and she did not receive good service.

Sheana said her check engine light comes on and her automatic start will not work. When the check engine light is off, the automatic start will work. The business was backed up due to the weather and other vehicles. Her vehicle was ready six days later. She had to call the business for updates because no one from the business kept her updated. There was an ice storm and she was not able to return her rental vehicle on that Friday. She found out two days later after she returned the vehicle that the insurance company would not pay those extra days. If she had known this, she would have found a way to return the vehicle.

Janet said she brought her vehicle in for a grille replacement and there was nothing else wrong with the vehicle. When she picked it up there was water coming from the tailgate and back seat. It was just pouring out 5 minutes after she left the facility. She said a lady that was driving had her pull over because she thought it was gasoline coming out of her vehicle. The business left the vehicle soaking wet. There was a recall on the back sunroof hose and she got it replaced. They claimed it was the front hose that did the damage. She said she thinks they dried the mats, so she would not catch the floorboards. When she called them they said they were closing and to come back the next day. The next day her vehicle did not start because it was flooded and the electrical outlets went out. She called and they said they were not going to be paying for it. She said she feels like they should also have accommodations for children. Her stroller would not fit in the loaner vehicle. They told her she had to pay out of pocket for another vehicle to fit the stroller in. It was a very unpleasant experience and she filed a complaint on the main hot line.

Gabriel said he was not satisfied with his overall experience because he said it was difficult for him to get a hold of someone at the business. He had to call repeatedly before he was able to reach anyone. He said he was not given a promised date and the business did not tell him when his vehicle would be ready. The rental agency called him and told him his vehicle was ready. He also said the insurance company handled his estimate and overall the communication with the business was not good. He would not recommend them due to this experience.

Fabiola said she had to go back to this business several times. When she received her vehicle it had scratches on it. The repair took longer to complete because they had to fix the scratches. She chose not to specify if her vehicle was ready when promised. She was not kept adequately informed. She had to call them and no one ever answered or returned her messages. She never met the person who prepared her estimate. They were not caring and they did not explain things to her. She expected more because she bought her vehicle from the parent dealership. She would not recommend this business based on this experience.

Lin said she went to this business to buy a new vehicle. After one week, the OnStar and GPS both stopped working. She stopped by the dealership and was told to come back a different day. She returned a couple of days later and they looked at the issues. One week later the sensor in the left rear end popped out. She brought it back to them and they told her there was no way that would just pop out, so she must have had an accident. There is nothing there to show she had an accident, no scratches or dents. They fixed the issue but she had to pay out of pocket for it. They did their best but she is still not happy and she would not recommend them over the issues already mentioned. They did not give a date that her vehicle would be ready but they did give her a loaner vehicle.

Michael said this business took too long to repair the vehicle. They had to locate two parts and it took over two weeks to complete. He made an appointment the month prior and was told they did not have the part when he arrived. It took a week and a half longer than he expected because of this. He said the communication was not good and he had to call several times to get an update. He would not recommend this business because he had such a hard time with them.

Tiffini said she is satisfied with the initial repair, but feels her vehicle does not run the same and it sounds bad. The person that prepared her estimate should have looked under the hood to see if there was damage to the engine. She would not recommend this business due to the reasons already stated.

Tom said they had his vehicle for 6 weeks. There was no promised date given, but the business received the wrong parts. He and his wife had to call to see what was happening because the business did not keep them informed. If it were his choice, he would have gone somewhere else. His home phone number was called instead of the cell phone number. Overall, the communication was inadequate. He would not recommend this business because the entire experience took too long.

Manuel said they first told him the repairs were going to take five days. They ended up taking seven to eight days because they found additional damages. His rear view camera was working fine when he took his vehicle there and now the images on his camera do not show up all the time. His tailgate used to open and close and ever since after the repairs the tailgate does not close anymore. He was disappointed with the repairs. He would not recommend them because of the reasons mentioned above.

Luis said he was not satisfied with the quality of the repair because there are new scratches on his vehicle that were not there when he brought the vehicle in, there is tape residue all over his vehicle and paint on the rubber weather-stripping. It is torn up where the vinyl roof goes in and they left orange gunk on his steering wheel. He stated the vehicle was one week later than promised with no explanation from this business. Also, he mentioned that he had to call them every time. He stated the personnel were not rude but they did not do what he wanted done. For these reasons he would not recommend this business to others.

Juan said he was not happy with the communication of the facility. One of the headlights is not working, the vehicle is not aligned and the windshield is still broken. He was told that a glass company was going to go to his home for this. The vehicle was ready a week later than promised. He was on his way to pick up his vehicle and received a call from the facility that it was going to be late a few days because the front bumper had been scratched. He chose not to evaluate the estimate because he was not sure of it. The communication was bad because he was not updated properly on the process. Also, they removed the wheels and he asked if they had been tightened too much and two different people gave him different information. He is not happy with the communication and will not recommend them for this reason.

John said the repair took much longer than promised. He was told the repair would take ten to fourteen days. He had to call them on the twentieth day regarding the process. He does not know the reason for the delay. He was not happy with the communication as he was not updated. Due to this experience he would not recommend this facility.

Clint said the work was good, but the customer service was poor. His vehicle was not ready when promised and they did not give him a reason for the delay which he considers poor communication. Robert said his insurance company shelled out $1,200 and the facility did the minimum repairs required and they didn't even take a few minutes to vacuum the inside of the vehicle. He asked several employees two or three times if they would please make sure to at least vacuum inside and he was assured it would be done. He ended up taking his vehicle elsewhere afterwards to have it done. He cannot evaluate the quality of the repair because most of it was done underneath the vehicle where he can't see. He is not happy with the buffing of the paint on the left side because now it doesn't match the right side and he can tell it is different. He was told his vehicle would be ready on Friday, but when he called on Friday while in the area he was told it wouldn't be ready until Saturday due to a parts delay. He will never come to this facility again and he would not recommend them to anyone. He was truly disappointed.

Richard said this business had his vehicle for 4 days before they started work on it. They were waiting on a claim to be sent over to them. He said he feels that all this business needed to do was call and get a quote over the phone. There is a vibration in the front of the vehicle when he drives. The repairs were delayed. He was not kept updated. he was dissatisfied with the communication for the reason previously mentioned. He will not recommend them due to his experience.
