Spoke with Mary. She said her vehicle was supposed to be completed in 3 days, and it took a month. She said they used parts from a vandalized vehicle instead of new parts. Therefore, they had to fix the parts they used. She stated her window was tinted, but the replacement window was not, causing her to make an additional round trip. Also, silver knobs were ordered instead of black knobs. She stated the estimate she was given for the knob was cut in half, once she received the final bill. They did not tell her that they would replace the knob with a used part. She stated her estimator failed to communicate with her and she was unable to get in contact with him as well. She would not recommend them to others.

Thomas said this business took forever with his vehicle and the communication was terrible. This facility and the insurance company messed up and that slowed down the process. There was a 5 to 6 week delay on his vehicle because of the miscommunication between the business and his insurance company. He was not kept informed throughout the process at first but once he was informed, that is when things started to get done to his vehicle. He was not satisfied with the communication because there was a lack of communication between the business and his insurance company. He will not recommend this business to others for reasons already stated. He was satisfied with the estimator.

Jesse her vehicle was at the business for a month because they were waiting for the wheel to arrive. The sensor from the airbag beeps when in reverse. She plans on taking it back so the facility can take a look at it.

Maria said mostly had to reach out to them herself for the updates on her vehicle. There was misunderstanding with the repair representative she worked with because they had never worked on wheels before. He would promised to call her at a certain time and she would end up having to call him instead. She stated she felt she was being a pest, but she did not know what was going on with her vehicle. The manager was great. She mentioned she has visited them before.

Tory said he had no updates on his vehicle and it took over two months to get it back. He does not know why it was delayed. When he thought it would be ready, it took two weeks to get it back. These are the reasons he would not recommend the business to others.

Lorraine said this business took too long to get her vehicle done. They took 2 weeks longer than promised because they had to wait for a part to come in. She believes they should have ordered it before she dropped off her vehicle. She had to contact them herself.

Amy said she had to go back to the business because her door would not lock. Her husband checked under the hood and found a part missing. She called the business to let them know and they told her it was on backorder.

William said the end product was fine but the work took longer than he expected. They had his vehicle 2 weeks from the promise date and they did not provide him with any reason for the delay. When they called to update him, they told him he would receive his vehicle in 5 days. After the 5 days, they told him the same thing for the 2 weeks. The cost of the end product was twice the cost of the estimate and he was not satisfied with the total cost.

Spoke with Katrina. She said there is a ding on her passenger side door that she doesn't think was there when she dropped it off. She also said the little string that holds on to the gas cap is no longer there. She would really appreciates if they would send her one. Her husband had to make all of the calls. The first person who did her estimate, estimated about $3,000 too low. The next person who did it corrected it.

Spoke with Theresa. She said she had problems with her vehicle after the repair. They sort of helped her but did not really help her. The battery had gone bad and they had to purchase a new one. Then, the check engine light came on. All they had to do was reset the vehicle's computer, but they would not do that. They were really friendly during the repair but not during the issues afterwards. She is unsure if she was kept adequately informed because she was somewhat kept informed during the repair. She did not hear from them for days, and she stated she thinks they could have called her a little bit sooner, to give an update. She would probably not recommend them. When there was a problem, it was not as easily taken care of a she had hoped.

Greg L., Manager from Helfman Collision Center responded on 08/01/2016

The vehicle is 11 years old and needed some maintainance. Had we turned off the light, it would have reutrned. The diagnosing / repairing mechanic would need the data from the check engine light for his work. We could have communicated that to her better.

Marsha said she had to wait a very long time to get her vehicle back from this business. It took about three weeks before she received her vehicle back and the repair was nothing major. She had to call them each time for updates. They had her vehicle for an entire week before realizing they had to submit an additional supplemental to her insurance company to provide service. She had called them on Friday evening and they told her about the supplemental. They were only just submitting on that evening and it did not go through until the following Tuesday because it was right before the weekend. After that, they had her vehicle for another week. When she called, they told her the insurance company was checking the supplemental. It was another week before they actually fixed her vehicle. When she got it back, there were some scratches on the hood that were not there prior. Overall it was a poor experience. The repair itself was just fine. Though they had her vehicle for about 3 weeks, they did not give her a promise of time. She was not kept informed because she had to keep calling them to find out what was going on. The insurance company provided the estimate. She was not satisfied with their communication because they were not timely enough. She would not recommend them after this visit because the process was just too long.

Lourdes said she was not given a promise of time. It should have taken two or three days to repair the electronics on her window but it ended up taking ten days. She would not have minded this except the business never kept her updated on the status of her vehicle. She could never reach Ira, her estimator, and he would never return her calls. When she did reach him, he would tell her he would check on her vehicle but he never did. She was only satisfied by the treatment of personnel when she drove over to complain to the operations manager. They provide great service but they need to keep the customer's adequately informed.

Pegah said the repair was not done right the first time. She is not satisfied with the repair due to having to return the vehicle because the driver's side door is popping out. When the vehicle was buffed, swirl marks were left on the vehicle. She would not recommend due to the quality of the repair and having to return the vehicle to have the door adjusted.

Emilie said this business was very good and she has not noticed anything wrong with the work they did. However, they told her it would take 12 working days to repair her vehicle, but did not have her vehicle ready for over a month and she not sure of why. What mattered to her that they took their time to do the work right, and since the insurance paid for the rental, she did not mind having to wait. She also noted that whenever she tried to contact them herself she was never able to get an answer. When they called every week to inform her of the status of her vehicle they kept saying that her vehicle was going to be sent in for paint. They told her the same ting 3 weeks in a row and she does not why they did that.

Rodney said this business delayed his vehicle out twice and it ended up being two weeks late due to a parts delay than the second time was the insurance company. He was not kept informed during the repair process and had to do most of the calling to get updates. He was very dissatisfied with the poor level of communication of this business with him and the insurance company. The insurance company and this business did not work well together and would blame one another for delays or issues. He would not recommend this business due to the lack of communication.

Brian said the vehicle took a week and a half to be repaired but he is unsure of how late the vehicle was. He stated he thinks it was delayed, due to the amount of employees that are there. Also, he was on a wait list so the wait was bound to happen. Since, he trusts them and has always been happy with their customer service, he did not bother to go to another business, who could have gotten the work done sooner.

Spoke with Mirna. She said the quality of the service was good, but upon leaving she noticed the rear light was broken. They apologized for the oversight and said they would place an order for that part on Monday. It has been 3 days since and no one from this business has contacted her. Also, she mentioned calling the business to check on the status and there was lack of communication on their part. The mileage was noted when they dropped off the vehicle to be repaired it was at 2385 and now upon pick up it was at 3102.

Jian said the quality of work was acceptable, but it was not as good as it could be. It does not look like new. It took three visits total until his vehicle looked presentable. He found additional damage. The representative in the front was very helpful during the process, and they did deliver his vehicle to his place of work on the very last visit.
