Follow through on promises made when purchasing vehicle.
I was told when I purchased my 2013 Diesel Passat that I was entitled to complementary car washes. I brought my Passat in for its 10,0000 mile oil change and checkup last week. When I came out after the car had been worked on and noticed that it wasn't washed, I mentioned it to your representative. He told me that with the cold weather they were not washing cars. Funny thing...it was a balmy 23 degrees that day and I have a heated garage so freezing is and was not an issue on that day. I would have appreciated a car wash that was part of the sales pitch (promise) in buying from this dealership. I immediately went to the car wash after leaving the dealership because I had waited to have my car cleaned with your service. I feel you owe me around $15 as reimbursement for something I was told would happen when buying from you. Follow through with what you promise and you will only have satisfied customers.

How do they have any good reviews?!
I went in there because I had a Volkswagen to trade in. And I was looking for pick up truck and they happen to have one on the lot. Of course the first warning should've been at there was no price on the truck. So immediately the games began. I was talked into test driving the truck without getting an answer yet on what the price was. Finally I went inside to discuss my trade-in value and how much they were asking for the truck. They lowballed me so far on the first offer that I ended up and finally negotiating a price difference of $10,500 with their final best offer. This is just the kind of games I hate when dealing with dealerships. "Oh hold up let me go talk to my manager and see what I can do. Oh by the way my managers trying to screw you". That last sentence wasn't with the salesperson said, it was what I drew from obvious clues. I will never ever set foot in this place again. I ended up going to Luther Volkswagen down in the cities. They had a pick up truck for me, and they offered me $7500 more for my trade-in right off the bat and gave me a really good price on the pick up truck. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, The first price they offered me on the 2011 pick up truck I was looking at was 5,000 more than what the brand new left over trucks where going for at the dealers. I could go on and on about the other games they tried to play like showing me a final price which include the $10,000 down payment from me which I never suggested that I had. Also slipping into the price a $750 winter protection plan. The truck was already covered in salt, had rust on the frame. What were they going to do? Seal all the rust and salt in with their magic sealer?

Carline said she had a bad experience. She missed the first appointment and made another for the next day. Her daughter was taking the vehicle in for the oil change and had an appointment for 9:00 am. She said she left and told them she would return after she did some errands. Her daughter returned in the afternoon and found the vehicle had not been touched. She was told it would be done right away, but she had to wait another two hours for the oil to be changed. Once she returned she was told an oil filter needed to be ordered. She said she had told the business the make and model of the vehicle before the missed appointment, so she does not know why the filter was not there. The whole experience was a mess and she will not return.

Poor communication, bad customer service
Awful communication between staff members, service department, and managers. From one person to the next they had no idea what was going on. Lack of business etiquette and service skills. I could never recommend to a friend to buy a car here after my experience.

Bad day for sure!
Simple oil change took almost 3 hours. Regardless of the snow storm a day or so before, it really was inexcusable. Communication was as bad as the time was long. Nice guys back there, but really one of the worst simple service days I've ever experienced, and I'm 60! And they lost track of simple requests and said they were out of a very common product every dealer should have - said someone threw out their limited supply by mistake - not the excuse one would expect from a professional dealership. I stayed patient and friendly the entire time, but I left pretty unhappy. Could have made it a better experience by letting me know of the delays - or even calling me in advance (my Appt was at 2 PM and we came from 80 miles away - I even called them an hour or so ahead to confirm things were on track!) that it was going to be a slow day. But basically nothing, zilch nada! - and I'm pretty easy going. Glad my wife wasn't there w/ me, she would have gone bonkers! Tis a shame really, in that it could be a nice facility if managed properly. Will probably not come back - and I love my VW and want it serviced right. While I'm on a roll, the price was higher than it should have been - fancier city dealerships charge less and generally are pretty damn professional 99% of the time. Not the case here on this day - all very preventable with just a little more communication - and paying attention to details. They need to do better & soon! More people in the waiting room were unhappy w/ the long wait times as well -- just needed the service manager or whomever to keep us all informed. Sorry, the big storm can not be the excuse here - lack of communication & professionalism the big problem. And I NEVER fill out surveys like this!!

Nigel is the best behind the scenes guy there.
I bought a 05 truck from there. The next day it wasn't pulling any oil pressure so I called them and asked to have them check it out. Apparently they don't do diagnostic vehicle check before selling you the car, so I had to pay 130 the next day. Not impressed by that. This is not my first time being dissappointed at this place. If you need anything for parts or labor try talk to Nigel he is there best asset I have seen there

John said he had his timing belt and water pump replaced and to do the repairs they had to take off the serpentine belt as well. When they put the vehicle back together they did not replace the belt and it was very worn. They did not even ask him if he wanted it replaced. The belt cost $35 to replace during this service, but if it breaks soon he will have to have to pay the $35 plus labor and additional costs. Their costs are 20 percent more than other businesses in the city and when asked about it they told him their prices are that high because there is no competition. He said he feels as if they want him to come back just so they can rack up more charges. If this business is more transparent about the repair prices they will bring in more people. He would not recommend this business based on this experience.

Satisfactory
The deal I got was great! I love my car and the price I got it for. Customer service could have been improved. It was sort of degrading how we were talked to by someone who works there. I don't think that our comments had to be changed in the dealership but were more of suggestions and a simple "I will keep that in mind" could have sufficed. Overall it was good so there is a chance I could recommend someone in the future but because of my experience with the customer service I put no.

Love the car, hate the dealership
Purchased a certified pre owned Subaru from this dealership. The price was right, and the salespeople were generally helpful throughout the initial calls. When it came time to actually talk about the vehicle and make the sale however, the salesman was not very knowledgeable about the vehicle, and kept reverting to "It's very clean!", which was fairly obvious. We were also told that the process of finalizing the paperwork and getting out the door would take about 20 minutes, but because the only finance manager was already with another customer, we ended up making small talk with the salesman for an HOUR AND A HALF while we waited for things to finish up. To top it off, the salesman told us he would get us the second key for the vehicle while we finished up with the finance manager. When we finished ten minutes later, he hadn't even started looking, and after looking for it he informed us that no one had any idea where the second key was, and that it would be mailed to us when they found it. Extremely poor service and incompetent sales people. I will never be doing business with this dealership again.

Will go elsewhere
I will not be back. Told I needed new tires ASAP even though my tread was fine. Told I had an oil leak but when I brought it to another mechanic, he couldn't find one.

Judith said she did not appreciate that she had to haggle back and forth with them about her vehicle. She lives far away from this business and she had to make a second trip to this business because her vehicle was not fixed correctly. She will not return or recommend this business to others based on this experience.

Some good some bad
First car test drove broke down. When bought another car when went to leave was only given one key. Requested a second key and this met with some resistance. I have bought many used cars and never received less than two keys. There seemed to be no willingness to get us a second key after we purchased vehicle. I think that is poor customer service

Terrible service & communication
Bought a used vehicle with the agreement that a new mirror was ordered to replace a broken one. Within the first week we discovered that the air conditioning was also not working on the passengers side. We contacted the salesman who apologized and agreed to have it repaired immediately. We made arrangements for it to be repaired when the mirror came in.

We were never contacted about the mirror coming in. 1 month after our purchase we were calling daily to check on the status of our mirror with the promise that someone would return our call. After several days we discovered that the mirror had been in for a week. We made an appointment for August 5, at 10. When we arrived at the dealership, 20 miles from our home, they had us scheduled for August 12.

August 12 we brought the vehicle in to repair the mirror and the air conditioning. The repair to the mirror was done that day, but nobody in the service department knew anything about the air conditioning problem. We agreed to leave the vehicle there and have parts ordered and it repaired. On August 15th we went to pick up our vehicle and were presented with a bill for $951.00. Jon, the service manager argued with my husband that we were told twice of the estimated bill for repairs to a vehicle we bought damaged. That was completely untrue and we refuse to pay. We left the vehicle and are going on day 5 without our car.

We will never do business with Volkswagon of Duluth again!

Don said the issues he was having with his vehicle were not fixed. He was having problems with his air conditioning, it kept shutting off. He was four hours into a 1,200 mile drive and it quit working again. He had to call a number of times to get in touch with someone. He said he left messages for John, the service mananger and tried to get in touch with the general manager. The general manager wasn't in, so he was transferred to the sales manager. Sometimes his calls would get disconnected or there was just no answer. He said he doesn't live in town, so this isn't an issue they can resolve for him at this point. He would not recommend this business based on this experience.
