My Rockstar
The bright spot for me was Kierra. She helped me so much when I was frustrated from my repairs taking so long. I would recommend Kierra all day long!

Way too long
Well Kierra my service rep was a rock star! She took care of me the best she could under the circumstances. So my auto was towed to the dealership on Wednesday, June 5th and apparently they only have two mechanics for hybrids. They didn’t diagnose the problem until Friday afternoon.

I was told maybe Monday but plan on Tuesday afternoon for the repairs to be complete. So I called Tuesday and my mechanic had been in training all day. So Kierra ordered me a rental car which was extremely nice of her. Fast forward to Friday, June 14th and Kierra called me on my way home to Troy, AL letting me know my vehicle was complete. I told her I wouldn’t pick it up until Monday when I was back in Montgomery.

It took 9 days to get my auto back. I think there needs to be more urgency. The other thing that really disappointed me was there was greasy hand and finger prints under the hood, on my engine, and on my hood. I thought for sure they would clean up their mess at least a little bit. Really sad!!

always behind and busier than can handle
With appointment at 9 am left around 12:45 for oil change and tire rotation. Wish I had other options for my Hyundai service. Entirely too slow.

Inadequate Explanation of Service and Repairs Needed
I was not made aware of the condition of my tires after rotating and balancing the tires. I had to return to have two tires replaced. This should have been identified and shared with me at the original time of service.

You have to wait forever for someone to come out!
They are always slow. I always have to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to come out and begin the service. I'm going somewhere else from now on.

Good service/bad product
Customer Service is much improved from previous experiences. However, the estimated time of service was over an hour more than the estimate. Representative was very courteous and informed. I was very disappointed in a major repair at less than 54,000 which was not covered under the extended warranty. After numerous recalls and especially the last one installing an alert system to notify me long enough to get off the road before the engine fails was very alarming to me. I no longer have confidence in my 2013 Santa Fe and will not purchase another Hyundai vehicle.

Frustrating again
Took weeks to repair, was given a rental car (from a rental company) that smelled like nicotine, cigarettes and marijuana.

Good and timely service.
My 2012 Sonata had to have the engine replaced along with several other recalls. My service representative Glenn was courteous and attentive. I was impressed with the operation of the service department. The only complaint that I had was being billed for a steering coupling device replacement. However, this was due to Hyundai policy and not Capitol Hyundai. Although the coupling device had failed around the 80,000 miles, my warranty notice for this came out after my car had reached over 100,000 miles. Since the coupling device was weak and therefore defective, I feel like Hyundai should have repaired the item at no charge. My experience was not the same in the sales department several years ago. It was not my salesman's fault as much as the way the sales department worked at the time. The old 4 square sales technique seemed to be the way things were done. Customers that do their research have too much Information available on local market price and such. Informed customers do not want to be treated as if they are ignorant. I actually paid less for the car than I was willing to pay due to the haggling nature of things. I hope this has changed over the course of time. However, that was my experience and why I will have to put no on the recommendation. I would recommend the service department because seems to be very customer oriented.

Car required a 2nd appointment.
Scheduled a specific appointment on line.
When arrived, didn't know of appointment.
Appreciated short wait to confirm my car needs.
Greatly appreciated shuttle ride to needed destination.
Rec'd call when vehicle was ready with expectation of need for another appointment to acquire part not in stock.
Returned for pick-up, my rep was not available, other reps were very busy but acknowledged me and offered to help as soon as possible, pulled my paper, brought my car around.
My rep returned, processed paperwork; however was charged for something needed to be deleted. I received an apology.

Dealership stepped in to resolve issues
