Frindly Hyundai Staff
Not happy over last visit. Went to have the front driver side tire fixed (4th) trip for that alone, and an oil change with the points inspections. Not even sure what was done. Didn't get the paper for inspection. Told valve stem was off for the tire. Oil - there is a sticker on the windshield now. I just wanted out. Man was happy about losing weight, happy for him, but what about my car?

Free oil changes.
They sell their cars with a "free oil changes for life" promise which is great but, it always takes a lot longer than they say it will and always try and sell you other stuff when you bring it in for the free oil change.

Like other dealers?
For the first time the service felt like other car dealers. Things were recommended that were standard or that I didn't really need. I took my car somewhere else and this was confirmed. Previously they were very good at telling me I didn't need things. I was disappointed.

Also, I don't understand why my service tech has to check me out. Had I not come up front and waited in front of him I would not have gotten out when I did. When my car is ready I want to leave. I was only getting an oil change and did not owe anything so I should have been able to leave right away.

Everything that we recommend for the vehicle is something that has been flagged by our technician during our complimentary multi-point inspection. These are recommendations that we feel need to be addressed to maintain the driveability of the vehicle. Even during routine oil changes our service advisors check out every customer to explain the work that was completed on the vehicle and they are educated on the maintenance so that they can provide the correct answer if there are any concerns or questions. We strive to provide thorough and timely service to each customer.

Bad Timing
They did a good job with the repair, but I was quoted times that were laughably inaccurate. When I scheduled the appt by phone, I was told it would take 1.5 hrs for my service. When I got there for the service, I was informed it would take 3 hrs (and I ended up having to get a ride home vs waiting there for my car, which I had planned to do). On the way home, I was advised that 3 hrs could actually mean 4 when you factor in everyone's lunch break. Then at the end of the day (around 4:30p), when I hadn't heard from anyone, I called to check on my car - which was just finishing up. The service itself was fine. The people were nice, but the mis-quoting and disruption to my day's schedule kept me from the other things I needed to do. In that way, it was disrespectful and it dramatically lowers the quality of their customer service in my eyes. For my next service, I'll try a different dealership.

It was brought to my attention that you may have been misinformed about the time needed to perform adequate service on your 2015 Genesis. I do apoligize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I am aware that you spoke to our Service Coordinator, who invited you to come back for your next service and request a rental vehicle, therfore the disruption to your day is minimal. In your review on SureCritic, you had many positive things to say about our service staff and about the work that was performed. Because of that, I would like you to reconsider your low score. Although we inconvenienced you, I feel as though we can make it up to you in the future, now that we are aware of the situation. Please take all this into consideration.

Warranty
The LOF and time waited was great. The issue of 'check the factory alignment' to see if within specifications constituted a tech driving it around briefly and proclaiming it is fine. Call me dumb but I would have preferred it put on the alignment rack and verified, not told afterward that if it still exhibits the issue I have 12 months to have adjustments made.

I researched your comments and can give you a better explanation of your vehicles steering.
The vehicle you traded in had a hydraulic steering system. Your new vehicle has an electronic steering system. At low speeds your steering is very sensitive and gets stiffer as your speed increases.

Your price for repair work
I have a 10 year old Santa Fe. I believe it is the most reliable and the best car I have ever owned. I never have repair work done by your shop because your costs are extremely high. Your cost to replace and cabin filter and windshield wipers was $91. I bought the items for less than $25 at Advanced Auto Parts and they installed them free.

I didn't appreciate them asking me if I wanted to have my timing belt changed and making me feel I was going to have a problem when there was only 32K miles on the belt! This makes me feel you do not have my best interest at heart and only wanted to make a buck >: (

I have a 2005 Hyundai, belonging to my granddaughter, which has been in the Cocoa dealership twice in the past three weeks.

The first time I complained about not having working head lights and a tail light. George did a walk around and processed the paperwork. He later called with a list of things to fix: replace drive belt and timing belt, replace plugs and wires, flush coolant and transmission, replace several light bulbs, change oil & filter.

I picked the car up and paid the $1300 bill around 5 pm. The headlights were working. The other stuff I could not check. The car was not washed. Since it was the end of the day, I assumed that there had not been enough time for a wash.

A week later, on a Thursday, I noticed that the tail light was not working and there were no lights on the dash board, so I called Cocoa Hyundai. George was not working so I talked to another Service Advisor. The earliest appointment she could give me was Monday morning.

On Monday, George checked the records and could find no mention of the tail light problem from the first servicing. He apologized and said he would get it taken care of. He later called with an estimate which included flushing the brake system. I rejected the brake system flushing. The total bill came to $166.

I picked up the car about 2 pm. Again the car was not washed. I assume that washing is part of Hyundai service, since the survey I was asked to complete specifically asked if the car was cleaner after the service that it was when I left it with the dealer.

I also find it unusual that no one noticed the broken cover on the passenger tail light and recommended replacing it. I was told that flushing the brake system was not critical, it would be ok to delay for another 5000 miles.

These events do not give me a comfortable about the quality of service and dedication to customers by the employees at Cocoa Hyundai.

Escellent Mechanics
Mechanics have always been excellent. They make a real effort when interacting with me. Service advisors are always sketchy. They are very nice people but seem disorganized and over tasked. Follow-up is non-existent with all of my visits to this dealer.
Still waiting for the response to where the mechanic was going to call Hyundai engineering to determine the issue with my voice command. Why do I always have to chase them down for the answers? I'm a bit busy too.
