Southern States Hospitality..
At Southern States I was treated like a guest in someones homes while awaiting first service on our Elantra. I was in and out in exactly 45 minutes! Everything was clean and the waiting area(s) were over and above other dealership waiting areas. I highly recommend doing business with Southern States.. Ask for Cecil Fuson #5980!

Warranty Work
I had to have a fan replaced (heat/ac out) thank god for my extended warranty. I have been coming here for years and this was one of the fastest/best visits. The staff were amazing!

At best, an average dealership with much room to improve!
The prices are too high, and unlike most dealerships, they do not wash your vehicle. They overbook appointments (especially on Saturdays), so the wait times are too long. It is extremely difficult to get a loaner vehicle, and the last time I asked, they did not have any.

We also feel that our customers would rather have the prices lower, than for us to do a car wash and obviously there is a cost that has to get passed to the customer. Poor customer service in Service Department.
Made an appointment to have a recalled switch replaced and verified they would have a switch available on that day. Dropped my car off to have the switch replaced, had a friend pick me up, waited 2.5 hours only to get a call that they were out of the part. I told the service representative that I drove 30 minutes to have the work done and she replied that she drives that every day to get to work. They could've cleaned my car or given me a voucher for a free oil change to compensate for my time and gas but I don't think customer satisfaction is a priority for them.

Non-Attentive Service Advisors
I recently came to the service department to have my car mileage verified for the MPG campaign. The service bay door was blocked by non-Hyundai automobiles. I had to get out of my car to go inside the service area to let someone know I was there for service. I waited 7 minutes or longer standing for someone to greet me or say hello. Service Advisors and the Service Manager walked all around me and didn't greet me or stop to ask me why was I there. Finally, an older service advisor came from the back and saw me standing. He asked me if I had been helped and I told him that he was the first person to say anything to me the entire time I was there. No other customers were in the service area - by the way. Every since the service department moved to another building, the atmosphere has returned to "Ole School." I felt like I had entered a Ford or Chevrolet service area where you are treated with no value. It used to be that I was greeted instantly by the Service Advisors at Southern States - even when they were busy. Now, all new staff and non-attentive. I hated my experience and dread to call for my next appointment for my oil change that is coming up in a few days. Maybe it is just this dealership. I'm sure Hyundai does not approve of this awful customer service. The dealership is the only one in the Raleigh area. I may have to drive to Johnson Hyundai in Durham for future service. I just want to be greeted as a customer when I arrive and not have the service bay door blocked by parked cars.

I apologize, we try to have the two waiting areas. one being with the TV and one with out for you to be able to work. next time that you are in if the waiting areas is not working for you again for what ever reason, please just ask the manager in the showroom if you can sit in one of the offices.
