What a joke of a dealership
Will never go back to them for anything. Charged me for damage to the gear shifter that we couldn't have caused. Brought into them twice before for the same problem. They fixed it before but now it has to be replaced.

The service department did not advise me of a temporary measure which could be easily performed on my damaged bumper but told me instead that nothing could be done and the entire bumper had to be replaced.

Good Evening Mr. & Mrs. Martens,

I have read your recent response to the survey, and find your rating well below our goal of 5 stars, this is concerning to me, I inquired further with my General Manager and Service Manager for detailed information.  We do take our customers opinion and information seriously. It is very important that all of our customers  feel valued and appreciated along with the respect we show for  your business. After careful consideration, Sunset Collision became and is our preferred body shop as they provide excellent customer service and quality workmanship in a timely matter.  

 It is my understanding that your vehicle was under our care for 26 business days.  I also understand your personal insurance policy did not provide rental coverage.  Being without transportation is difficult for anyone and I empathize with your situation.  Jared, your Service Consultant,  provided me with several emails between he and your insurance provider.  Rest assured, your claim was handled expediently.  I did however support Carlos’s decision to cover 2 days of rental and the $100 service credit in effort to establish and demonstrate an effort of goodwill.

It is a regret that our attempted  gesture of goodwill fell short of your expectations.  We do not take your business for granted, as you do have other choices.

You have to stay on top of the people taking care of your car.
Nice guys at the service department, but still can make mistakes. Do not trust that everybody is going to do a good job. The service attendant was nice but no good communications between service attendants and the mechanics. My car was left waiting in the outside lot for 1.5 hours. I had to cancel when I saw the mechanic drive it in after all that wait. Double check all things they say they did on your car, even make sure that oil in new.

The people in their service department try to rip you off, the free lifetime oil change is a joke. Its to rip you off.
The service department is rude and will cheat you on the service. They will over charge you on filters so it pays for the oil change. Your not getting anything for free and their filters are how they rip you off.

Turn Around
Amber from Henderson Hyundai contacted me right after I filed my first review. We talked through what had happened and why I wasn't happy with the service experience. She understood my concerns, said she would need to talk about the situation with her boss, but expressed a willingness to find a mutually agreeable solution. When she called me back her proposal to repair my vehicle was very fair and she again was very apologetic for the way the issue had been initially handled. Her understanding of my point of view, empathy, quick turn around and overall customer service attitude are much appreciated!
