Everything was good but too expensive
Everything was excellent, and the staff were very professional. But I was charged 350$ for two hours of work to replace a part that was under 5$.

Cramped, Unorganized, Hot, Dirty.
Extremely tight lot to navigate. Had inches to spare trying to enter the lot and navigate to the service entrance. Pulled into Service area, and stood there for several minutes. No one greeted me, or directed me to the Hyundai service desks (which are not labeled). The closest ones to you are for Subaru ONLY. You have to cross the path of vehicles entering/exiting the service bays to get to the desks. Took several minutes for someone to come over to the desk to write up my visit. While standing there, I was nearly hit/clipped by 2 vehicles driven to techs. You definitely have to keep a 360 degree lookout for everything in the service area. You then have to cross traffic again to get to the waiting area. Once the service was finished, you've got to cross traffic again to go back to the desk, again watching out for everything around you. This time I was almost hit in the shins by someone pushing a cart of equipment/parts. Once in my car, I was nearly hit by another technician driving a vehicle as I was trying to exit the service area. Then navigating the parking lot, with only inches to spare to get to the main car lot, and exit to the street.

Bad service
No one told me my car was ready, I had to ask after waiting two hours. My confirmation for first service appointment said oil change and tire rotation. Tires not rotated. Never again.

Wasn’t my best experience
Wasn’t the best experience I’ve had, to say the least. A 2 hour oil change and a scuffed door panel. Was not satisfied with my experience.

Poor Service
Took car in told needed transmission replacement. Car has 37,000 miles but that we had to get it approved!! Then dealer detailed to car an burnt the paint so now it has to go back in an get painted!!!...

The service rep was excellent and the service received up until this last visit has been excellent.
We are currently driving our fourth Hyundai. Our engine in our current vehicle failed with 48,000 miles. It took five weeks to get it back and when I picked the car up the air conditioner didn't work. This entire episode has make us think twice about purchasing another Hyundai.

Lack of customer care
Spoke with service tech and advised him of a slow leak in left rear tire (23 lbs). Upon inspection tech stated there was a small nail near the sidewall and could not be repaired. Tech did not inflate tire to proper pressure. Still had 23lbs. when returned

Horrible Service was lied to, inorder to purchase parts
Stay away from Grayson Hyundai in Knoxville, TN. Brought my car in for a diagnostic because my battery light was on. The service technician took me to the car mechanic to tell me that my alternator was working good, giving me number specifics of the power it was putting out in front of the service technician Shanon. The mechanic kept repeating that the alternator was fine and assured me that all I needed to buy was battery cables for my car battery. So I did and they installed them. A couple days later they call me and tell me that the cables were installed but now the alternator is bad and I need to replace that too! I spoke to the service manager and he told me that the technician would not have been able to check the alternator if the battery cable needed to be replaced, and that his mechanic would have never told me that. So basically he was calling me a liar. Had the mechanic told me that I needed battery cables AND an alternator I would have never bought the cables to begin with and sold the car as is.

Bottom line: never ever go here for service. I was either tricked into buying parts I didn't need or they did something during the install and blew my alternator. Either way very dishonest and only cared about the money and not listening to the customer and doing the right thing.

My rescore of my comments
he service manager did contact me and was very apologetic and even offered a free oil change and full tank of gas on my next visit. That was a great way customer service and make good on the poor service from my last visit. However, it was followed up with a request to re evaluate my initial review.. Ok, i get that but being told the only way they could "pass" the survey was to get a 5/5 on it is not professional. In fact I remember the days we used to get handed a survey on the spot and asked to fill it out while they watched while being pressured to give them a 5/5. It's not a true reflection on a survey when you are coerced into a certain score

Service decline
Having been a customer with Hyundai for many years. there has been a decline in customer service at Grayson. Communication is declining. I also think Hyundai's commitment to the customer has taken a backslide.

Always takes 1.5 hours or more for an oil change
Waited an hour and a half for an oil change and tire rotation. I was also told when I arrived that the next time I came in for an oil change I would need my 30,000 mile maintenance which includes changing my engine and incabin air filters as well as changing my coolant, brake and transmission fluid and that this would cost $600. Looking at the required maintenance in my Hyundai car manual it says all of those things just need inspected not changed and there is no way it should cost $600 to have those things inspected. I am not sure if he thought since I was a young female I would just take his word for it and not check required maintenance but I don’t appreciate trying to be taken advantage of and told I need things that I don’t.

It takes forever
If you must take your car in on a Saturday, try to be the first one on the schedule. Then, just an oil change and tire rotation will be a while. I wouldn't even get a car wash. The extras take even longer.

Fast recall service
Schedule an appointment to deal with 4 recalls on my Sonata. My appointment was the earliest I could schedule on a Saturday. Service was complete by 10. The gentleman who took care of me was polite and effiecient.

My engine is fine and is not one of the ones effected by the recall. However, I still got a free oil change.

Don’t wash my car please
Car wash left two new paint chips in my hood. I know how dealerships are so I didn’t argue it. Was told recall check on engine didn’t require oil change but it did. Only had 3k on high end Quaker state sythentic. Mechanics look as though they could not care less.

Excessive Air Noise
Only problem I have with my Hyundai and your service department is the excessive air noise we encounter at 40 MPH and above. Your dealership kept the vehicle for a week and it is still isn't fixed...If the problem is not fixed I would not buy another one. We have lived with noise for 17 months and that is 17 months to long....PLEASE HELP!
