Parts price rip off.
I had the 3 motor mounts on my son's Mazda 6 replaced from Tate Boys in Skiatook. They have always been good and treated me right. But the labor came to $320.00 the parts were $533.85. I could have purchased the same parts on line for a total of $74.85. I could have bought the same parts at Oreillys in Skiatook for less than $100.00. It is really ashamed they did this. I have always told people how great they were, I don't know if they have switched hands or what, but I know I will be switching.

Use to be great
They use to be amazing. However is has went very downhill. I brought my car there three times in a week and told them each time the same thing was wrong and they failed to fix it. Intact since the didn't fix it correctly a part of my car was damaged and I have to pay for a new part that They were at fault for. The old tates would have NEVER been like this.

2 Times Disappointed
I went in to purchase Firestone Destinations and have front end work done. Jason had promised early morning start and finish by noon with a courtesy car being provided. Neither did not happen and at 1 pm when I called I was told well we had one hold over from yesterday and that is who received the courtesy car. It was 5 pm and when I arrived they had the OWL to the inside and the work order specifically said OWL OUT.
Tuesday May 30 Alex said they had (4) TR 500 23 degree valve stems which I need for my trailer. They only had one and did not discover that until after I brought the second tire for a new stem. Alex said he would order them and call when they arrived which should be by Friday June 2. I called at 9 am June 2 and talked to Alex and he said no not here yet and I will calll you when they arrive. NO Call Friday June 2.
I am ordering them my self and not using the Skiatook store for anything ion the future until the get a competent manager.

great front counter help... but shop workers need some quality training!!
went in to get all new valve stems put in my wheels. First off, they didnt take my beauty ring off my wheel before puting it on the tire machine thus smashing my ring in multiple places. Second , the next morning i came out and the front tire was flat, had a leaking valve stem core. you would have thought they might check these kinds of things,... but hey they,re fast !!! not my best impression>>

they didnt help at all!!!
I took my car up there because they messed one of my sensors up on my car, when I went to pick the car up Alex told me I needed to take it and have a diagnostic test on it. I had already told him 3 times I had one done, and it showed the sensor was messed up and wasnt working. But so much for that.

Not knowledgable in areas.
The truck has occasional grinding/binding/wore out part sounds a lot. It sounds and feels like the wheel may fall off sometimes but when the mechanic drove it he said it is all good and safe. He also stated that he didn't know what the noise is from and this is bothersome.

Broken Lug Nut Caps
This is the second visit to have tires rotated where there were missing and broken lug nut caps afterwards. Worse yet, they didn't say anything about it, I noticed before getting in the car and went back in to complain. What I didn't know was that five more caps were broken but still loosely in place. A cap was missing after my last visit too. Not a good track record. The did replace the two missing caps but the fact that they didn't say anything bothers me the most. I don't expect a shop to break my car when I bring it in for maintenance.

gouged wheels
Your techs clamped my aluminum wheels from the outer side of the wheel instead of the clamps that go over the bead and gouged both of the wheels they worked on. This is the same reason I don't have the dealership that I bought my truck from work on my tires even though they replaced all 4 when they did it.

New Tires 9/20/14
Terrible service. I called into the Tate Boys in Skiatook on Friday to make sure they would have the tires for my 2012 Camry. I also requested an oil change. I was notified 1 hour later that car was ready (tires and oil), and paid around $900 cash. I just happened to ask if oil was changed too. Said yes, then the clerk decided he better check. Oil HAD NOT been changed. Waited 1-1/2 hour more for oil change. Then said they needed to check alignment -- another 1/2 hour +. They aligned without my permission and charged me another $75. Got on the road. Tire pressure in the 4 tires was 39, 31, 33, 34! Today my low tire pressure light was on for 2 of the tires. Used to get great service, this Saturday crew was definitely off, and I will think twice before using Tate Boys again.

Bad
I took my car there at 5:05. They closed at 6 and I made sure to ask the man at the front desk if they could get me in that day because i was going out of town the next day. So he put me in for an oil change and a tire rotation. I had my father pick me up to go get food ect. For travel. We got back to tates at 5:45 and my car was still in the same place and had not moved. So we pull over around to the side of the building where you can watch them change oil and everything. We finally see my car pull around and they lift it up to do the oil change. I honestly don't even think they changed my oil. I know they didn't rotate my tires because i sat there and watched them. They lowered my car and i walked inside and paid. I asked the guy about them rotating my tires and he said they did. Well i sat there and watched. After that i walk outside to wait for my car to be pulled around. To my surprise when the guy drove my car around the corner my front bumper was dragging on the ground. I said what the H***L happened! And the guy said it was like that when i brought it in. I know for a fact that it wasn't because a week before i had done some work on my headlights and to take my headlights out i have to unbolt my bumper. And i also know for a fact that i went out and bought brand new push bolts to make sure it was secure. The guy that drove my car around got out and walked off the opposite way as soon as hr could. And the man that i originally talked to at the front desk walked outside to give me my remote. And he was just like well lets see if we can fix it. The new screws that were now in there didn't even fit the bumpers fastener holes. He just told me to look my car over and he just walked away and locked the door because at this time it was 6:15 and they were just trying to get out of there. Well i get in my car and literally all my compartments are open. Somebody went completely through all my stuff. And i made it a point to close them before i dropped my car off there. Also on the ticket it said i was being charged $30.22 and when they ran my debit card i was charged $58.64 i somehow didnt catch this until i got home. I will not be going back here even though its the only place i used to trust opposed to walmart who i dont at all.

poor service the last two visits
I ask the service provider to check the battery time before last and when I got home it had not been checked. This time they didnt put the serpintine belt on correctly and called me to pick it up. Need to step it up boys, there are other mechanics in town!

lack of precision
I left the Shop and my Left front tire almost came off.
The Service Rep., he did a good job on following my instructions to write up how I wanted my tires rotated, but he assigned the work to the least experienced Tech in the Shop. This can be disastrous when dealing with a Mercedes or a BMW.
1. Proper tightening sequence and torque is critical on German cars because it can ruin rotors. I understand that some confusion took place when I asked what torque they were using. This tire might have been missed because of questioning the issue, but there should be one Tech in charge of a car and is responsible for the total work so that parts are not left off or not tight, etc.
2. The next day checked my air pressure to make sure they are the same and proper values. They ranged from 32 to 38 all the way around and not front to back. One front was 32 the other 38 and the backs were 34 and 36.
3. Also, I noticed the factory wheel weights were dug off inside the rim and weights were added to outside lip of the rim. Again, this is not the proper thing to do with a high end German car. Factory weights provide a base line for the wheel at a higher degree of accuracy than any tire store balancer can do. This has screwed up my wheels for good. Add on weights are only used to fix tire imbalances and used only when needed after following the manufactures mounting dots. Most tire manufactures provide colored dots that identify where the valve stem location should be to reduce the amount of weights needed to balance the tire.
While most of these issues are not generally common knowledge and are not issues with USA cars, they are big deals with German cars and can cause expensive damage. I don’t drive at 130 MPH but if I do I want my wheels, tires, and brakes ready and capable of it. I come to Tate’s because of experience of both Jared and Chad, who have always controlled these issues, (Chad fixed the torque after wheel almost came off). This was one of those off days and lack of training. I don’t want anything negative to happen to anyone but I do expect Training to take place to know about these issues. Granted, sometimes with turnover it’s hard to know what training people need. In that case, I would expect that my Mercedes be serviced only by the most experienced Tech’s.

I have been coming to Tate's for about 14 years. This was my worse experience ever. Will not be back.
The only good thing was the employee that brought me my tire.

service feedback
I knew I had a nail in my tire but didn't want to pull it out, so I asked my son to take my truck to u guys to have yall do it, plus rotate tires and oil change before my vacation where my wife and I are driving the truck. The technician told my son there was no nail in the tire, so my wife had to take the truck back over their (20 miles one way) and show the tech. I am extremely disappointed about this second trip! Almost not sure this service is worth a 40 mile trip.

Wheel alignment
Brought my car in at 11:30 AM and was told car would be ready at 1:45 PM. 2 cars were ahead of it on the rack. Car was ready at 3:30. It only took 30 minutes to do a 4 wheel alignment on my car but 3.5 hours on the first two. Price was good but severely disappointed in how long it took.

Half assed.
They dumped everything out of the glove compartment onto the seat. They didn't close the air filter cover. They didn't tighten the center cap on my wheel.

Usually good customer service. This visit not so much.
Forgot to put my sticker on my car. When this happens it makes me wonder if anything was done. Took 15 minutes to change oil and rotate my tires. If I'm sitting in there or my wife it takes 45+ minutes. Skid plate had been put back on my car and bolts were left off. Tate Boys is the only place that touches my car. The bolts to hold my skid plate were not lost by me, just neglected to be placed by the service tech. Now driving around with my skid plate in my backseat. Not cool.
