Sometimes it happens
This was my first time using Simmons 4x4. I have several vehicles. I chose my off roader to be the first vehicle to work with Simmons. My original issue in which I took the vehicle into Simmons wasn't an issue after all. However there was some issues that I wasn't remotely aware of. Simmons found some leaks that could have turned into bigger issues. We chose to have those repairs done. Simmons was very professional and concern. Together we accomplished our goals.

After Service Question - Truck bettery/alternator/connections
I picked up this vehicle on Thursday afternoon understanding there was a low battery problems not unexpected since it was installed Feb 2013. Everything fine Thurs afternoon and Friday, but when I got in vehicle early Sat morning to get to appointment in Marana the battery indicator was flickering on/off. I'd planned to get a new battery Sat afternoon anyway.

However, when in Marana and started it for 3rd time that day some new failure lights came on, and within a mile the engine was fluctuating, died, and all power gone. I had it towed to Batteries Plus and got a replacement battery where they confirmed the battery was dead but testing alternator said it was fine.

Much to my surprise, Sat night when started about 8 hours after installing the new battery that same battery indicator light came on. The engine ran but power so low the door locks wouldn't operate. I left on trickle charger all night and still getting the battery indicator light.

My other vehicle with you guys ('79 Toyota FJ40) so I'm using Uber to get around today. Will plan to try to drive it over to you Monday ~9am after dropping kids at school.

ASK: Can you please get my FJ40 ready to go by 9 or 10am so I can drive it while we sort out the problem with the truck?
Please expect the F250 truck to be dropped off by me ~9am - 10am, or if engine dies again will have it towed in.

Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Brought the vehicle for transmission repair, after getting the vehicle back the leaky issue returned. Staff was nice to rework the repair at no extra cost. I think I found my new repair shop. The invoice could be made to be easier to read, just a suggestion.

First let me say thanks for your GREAT WORK "Bill" and Mike at the counter.
I brought my (new to me) truck in for specific work and got more than I asked for. While had only put 1000 miles on it from the time bought it, it is true I knew very little about the truck. However, just as it has happen in the past with other repair shops Simmons dove into stuff they were NOT authorized to do. Namely a vehicle inspection, brakes being the subject matter. Having turned wrenches for number of years myself in Michigan, I am no stranger to rust on a passage car.
When Simmons had a look at the brakes on the truck, I know what they saw. The mistake made was striking the rotor and or brake drum with a heavy hammer, which someone had to of done. In striking the rotor or drum you cause a deformity that was otherwise not there when you received the truck. Having made the mistake years back, I know why I now have a shake in the brake system I did not have when I brought you the truck. Somebody beat on my drums or rotors.
Next, inconsistencies are always troubling. Previous owner presented me with all records for truck including those of the oil changes. I just received my report on the oil analysis I sent out 4 days before you got the truck. Havoline Blend Synthetic. The visual of the oil was very clean, the truck was delivered to you 1/2 quart low do to taking sample. The report came with excellent review and able to perform. Much to my surprise the acidic level was still very low. All of that to say, I really would like to know who you all came up with "dirty gunky oil'? I spent 20 years working in Hydraulics, please understand that I know clean from dirty oil.
So about those breaks on my truck, I'll take care of them. But I would like to know what Simmons will do in the future? Namely when I bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service work. My jeep has an air break system on it to actuate the hydraulic while in tow. Will Simmons continue to do unauthorized work? The last service center that worked on my Jeep spent $3000 correcting the damage to my Jeep break system, paying someone else.
I just want hear you say that you will stick to the authorized work only and I will be back again and again provided Bill is the guy doing the work.

Another visit with Great Service, Friendly People and Questions answered expertly
This visit to simmons for Oil change and 60K service on my vehicle once again did not disappoint. While performing service and inspections, it was discovered my Serpentine belt was threadbare. This was clearly explained and all of my questions answered with professional patience and understanding. Upon pickup, the full printed explanation of services was handed to me and all of my questions about the results were once again answered knowledgeably and patiently. The knowledge and professionalism I have encountered along with my vehicle running reliably, leaves me feeling confident that Simmons is a great place to go for vehicle service.
