Adam said he used to be a service advisor and they did not write out an invoice for him. All they did was scan his credit card and give him a receipt, which is actually illegal to do in the state of California.

Adam: You must be mistaken as we have your signature on the original estimate for $281.00 to diagnosis, evaluate check engine light and smog test. Additional materials & paper work were also furnished. The final invoice was $176.00 after completing your vehicle. As I recall: Another shop told you your car would fail and charged you $35.00 with no paper work.

Dan said he asked the employee about a price on a drive line and even gave him the serial number. The employee ordered the part but Dan did not ask him too. It wasn't a win situation for anybody. He has known the employee for 35 years.

First off Dan I am the person you spoke with Steve Vanlandingham Owner not employee so you don't know me very well. Second I dealt with the wrong parts you supplied twice & I then researched replacement parts as well as having a driveshaft shop tell me the shaft was not rebuildable which I relayed per phone to the vehicle owner and son. In that conversation I gave a quote of $715 +tax and got an OK as I would have never ordered a drive shaft without consent. Shaft arrived, you all then declined and the old driveshaft was returned as you had the old joints. You were not charged a dime for the time I spent. What else could I have done? You handed off the ok to the other two , a loss of communication and no one person told me different.

Jim said the technicians replaced the radiator in his vehicle which later broke down on the highway because it was leaking transmission fluid. He had to return to the business to have them redo the repairs.

Samuel said this business has been working on this project for 3 years, and have not been able to get it right. His vehicle has big problems. The person working on it is doing the best he can, but the vehicle is still messed up. He has given him a lot of money, and it is still not running the way it should be running. He would like the vehicle to be fixed, otherwise he may have to get a lawyer involved.

Samuel: As you well know your 1965 ford mustang came to me as a basket case. I have spent out of pocket over $4500.00 to try and make this project functional & relaiable and show my personal concern. One thing for sure I will never put an engine in a car that is NOT road ready. I have up held my end of the job even though 2 engine suppliers failed me, as well as defective parts of all sorts. Older cars  need a lot of attention and tinkering as well as good quality parts that are very hard to find in today's market.   
I will, once again , at NO expense to you, get your Mustang running due to poor quality componenets from major suppliers as far as the engine goes. I am sure you will experience furthur issues due to age of your vehicle and circumstances involved.

Jason said this business kept his vehicle for 3 weeks total and they returned it back to him in the same condition that it was before he gave it to them. This was because his mechanic could not figure out the problem which he does not blame him for because he understands that his vehicle is difficult to work with. He said that he probably is a wonderful mechanic and he does an amazing job with other customers. He paid $318 and in the end this information was not found. The cool part about everything he mentioned was the paperwork that the mechanic had been looking at to find the problem was left in his vehicle after it was returned to him. He has been doing some thorough research and investigating what is going on and this could be beneficial for him. The information on the paperwork looked as though the problem was very close to being found and resolved. He said everything is fine.

Jeff: I did talk about the increase in price from the initial $300 estimate. If you recall: the locking lug nuts were replaced by standard lug nuts, we also special order all 3 washer nozzels that were $60 special order as well as we replaced the cabin air filter that had a rat's nest in it. I was sure you were aware of findings as we talked per phone at least twice. Sorry for any confusion. STEVE

Thanks for your business. Quotes & estimates are tough at times and due to part differences, availability and all factors, prices due vary some what! When it comes to older vehicles getting the correct part can be challenging. It's like hamburgers, as low as .99 cents and premium $12.00++.  Quotes are always a problem cause you will always find prices lower and higher depending on sources. Thanks for your review Gary. Due to the random mis fire count that was shown in the history mis fire report several cylinders showed mis fire counts. Also due due the accessibility of the sparkplugs we replaced them. History did show them with 21,424 miles of usage, #6 was black & fuel fouled and would have needed that one for sure. With all new coils & new plugs, I believe we will get the performance needed and mis fire count status should remain at "0". Thanks for your continued business.
