Not impressed.....
Bought a new 2016 highlander sleep last weekend. Check engine light came on Thursday and they claim they fixed it. Two days later the light came on again.....not sure this is normal for a new vehicle. My son was late to practice on Thursday and now we have to cancel the lake trip today. The sales manager said if they don't fix it we could trade it in.....WTF. Third new vehicle I've bought at central Maine and most likely my last.....not impressed

Did not feel valued as a customer
We will not go back to Toyota service again. We will have our service done at the Chevy dealership right beside it. The time before this service was not good service and this time was worse. They told my husband it would be ready at a certain time and it wasnt. In addition, they were supose to pick up my husband at work at this time to go back to the service center to get the car, but never called my husband to tell him the car wasnt ready so my husband took an early lunch break for nothing, and was left standing outside for over 15 mins on one of the coldest days of the year. (It was literally 15 below that day. ) My husband had asked for cheaper parts ( factory seconds?) and at first was told no that wasn't an option but after he pushed for a little bit, they said ok. When he went to pay for it, have noticed we were billed for the more expensive parts and the woman at the desk was very rude when my husband brought it up. She left the desk for some reason and on her way back he heard her comment to a coworker that she will be glad "when this customer is out of here." And then after all this, I just got a call from CM a few weeks later ( which was just the other day) from a woman ( can't remember her name) who said she over charged us by $20ish and wanted our card number to credit us. Don't get me wrong I am very appreciative for the credit but this woman never apologized for over charging us and then when I asked what the exact amount was she said $50 something... So I am thinking "you want my card number to credit me but you don't even know how much you are going to credit me?" Overall, not a good experience for us.

oil change servicing
was @ service center in waterville on 8-21-14
went in for oil change, that was fine. service manager suggested cabin air filter needed replacement. now, when i place my blower on max. speed, i get a fluttering noise.worse off now w/a new filter??
secondly, i conveyed to serv. manager my 3 3 year old truck had squeeks underneath chassis, he said for $130.00 I could get squeeks remedied. i thought this was ridiculous.

Not happy with my car not taking a sticker after the first year!
I am totally fed up with these fools. I have two bald tires on my one year old Camry and they would not replace them. Failed me for a sticker and sent me home. I'm riding around in a one year car with no inspection sticker. It is a very long story of me batting back and forth with them for months about alignments and tires and I'm fed up with them. Now they will replace the two front with Mich. tires but I have to buy the two for the back. I can live with that and feel satisfied....The problem is that I have to pay all the rotating and balancing fees on all four for a total of $411.00 for my portion of two tires!!!! What a joke! I only had 18,000 on my car when this all started and now I have 24,000. I am beyond frustrated with them and will never buy from them again.

Poor attention to detail
My Tundra was in for a Toyota recall frame inspection and undercoating. When I picked the vehicle up there was undercoating splattered all over the cab rear window. No one noticed it except me when I looked in the rear view mirror, it was very obvious. I returned to the shop and they cleaned it. But later the next day when I was washing the vehicle I found several more splotches on the outside of the body. The substance is greasy and black so it is not hard to find it. Apparently they don't even look to see if there is overspray or not from the application.
Generally I have been happy with this dealer, but not on this visit.

incompetent
this dealership did not know how to get the toyota factory part my truck needed. i was told they had ordered the part and they would reschedule my appointment when it came in. after the 10th week of the dealership not knowing how to get the toyota factory part, that i had to have in order for my warranty to cover the cost, i decided to call toyota customer service. i told toyota customer service what was going on and within 2hrs the dealership called me. the dealership was still trying to assure me there was no end in sight for getting the part. curiously, the following day the dealership called back and said they were having the part over-nighted. my overall feeling is that this dealership's service/parts dept. is incompetent. i felt they viewed my frustration as unworthy of their attention and only after a complaint to customer service was a real effort made to get the part. overall i didnt feel they valued me as a 4x repeat customer therefore i will not be making a 5th purchase from this dealership. also i didnt even want to give 1 star but this survey made me choose at least 1.

Inexplainable long wait time
Specifically asked for first appointment in the day due to repeatedly waiting an hour or more for a routine oil change. Still had to wait 1.5 hours even though I was told it wouldn't take more than 30 mins. No explanation and no reason for the extended wait. Nothing was wrong with my camry.

slow
I love having Toyota service and they do an excellent job but when it takes an hour and forty minutes for routine service without an oil change that's slow. The car is ready way before that just takes too long to process the paper work

A lot of excuses why they can't provide the service
car was available at the time of appointment and everything was finished except the whistling sound in the back seat when driving over 50. This is the second time I have been put off. The first time it was because they were too busy changing tires for winter and this time it was because there was snow on the roads. there was no snow on the interstate where they would test the car. I was told to call back in April by Charlie Price. I bought this as a new car last Jan and I still have not had this problem resolved.

Still waiting.....
Been going there for years but may need to look for another place for oil changes. Made an appointment and was there on time..... an hour and forty five minutes later for a standard oil change is a little long considering I told them I was under a time crunch.

Rusting Frame
Asked for an Oil Change also...IT DIDN'T HAPPEN......Didn't know it was going to the body shop.....The Fix on my Frame was a Nasty black Oil that dripped all over my Garage floor and you expect me to buy the cleaner and do it in the middle of Winter...NOT

A hit upset that as I'm driving down the highway immediately leaving the garage I notice my hood shaking finally make it to a spot I can pull over and find out my hood was latched shut simple mistake that could've been really dangerous

Phone people good, service dept. not so much
When I bought the tires on the car, the service dept. forgot to calibrate them so the light is constantly on. They promised then, "Next time you are in the neighborhood, we will do this for you." Finally I was and confirmed by phone when setting appt. and then that morning with the service guy that this would be done n/c, as promised. They called in the middle of a very busy (meeting) day to get my address, which they've had for years. (odd) And then, when I came to pick up the car, they had a $49+ charge for the work they promised to do n/c THREE times! The same guy that OK'd it that morning now gave me the bill.
I had such a wonderful initial sales experience that I researched the company and wrote a real letter of praise for the sales department to the 2 owners. I also emailed a copy of the letter to Toyota headquarters. 2 owners must have been raised by wolves. They never even acknowledged receipt. THEN Toyota sold my address to a local dealer (awful, aggressive and yucky during the sales process) so for 6 years this local company has wasted reams of paper sending me (to the wrong name!) sales solicitations, despite my 9 requests to stop. THEN Toyota HQ started emailing me (to the wrong name!) asking me how it was going. I will be clear: I WILL NEVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN!

took to long
My appointment was for a 15k service and a recall. I was told it would take 45 minutes, but it was an hour and a half. No on bothered to update me on the delay. When I went out to see what was taking so long, my car was ready. I wonder how long it had been sitting there? I don't feel that these people place any value on my time.

Too many people not knowing what is what
I had called to set up my oil change, air filter change & tire rotation. I spoke with 3 different people to understand why I had to pay for the tire rotation when I purchased the vehicle from Central Maine Toyota. I have never paid for tire rotation on any of my Toyota vehicles I have purchased from Central Maine Toyota. I am not happy anymore with Central Maine Toyota and are seriously considering not purchasing another Toyota next year. I will go to a different dealer all together different. I am sorry to say it is the little things like this that will break my relationship with Toyota. I have had three toyotas since 2001.

unsatisfied answers
I had a question about my tires. This was a couple weeks after I purchased my truck. Anyway there was a couple bubbles on the sidewall of my tire and I asked what they are. They told me that was just the bands starting to break. I figured they would say that it could be changed out but they just said It wouldn't cause a flat. Then they didn't put the tire on any of the paperwork showing that I had this problem in the beginning of owning this truck. I feel if there was a flaw in the tires in the first 2 weeks they should have taken care of it since I didn't get my truck at zero miles. (new truck was delivered at over 200 miles)
