In complete work
Took my car to bennetts and seemed like a good place to take it the first few times.very expensive repairs there though.took it to have coils changed out it was a 380 dollar repair for 1coil or they would replace all for over 1100dols.needless to say I chose to have them changed as they went bad.i had 2 done there and after a third went out decided to YouTube it and do it myself found 4 coils on internet for 64 so they charged 110 for one coil.changed it out in 5 minutes.couldve had all 6 coils done on my own for under 100 dollars.when I got inside I saw where the bennetts mechanic tore up a lot of parts connecting wiring harnesses and my nut on top of shroud of the engine was missing.he taped a pia plug of a harness on my cowl top.a lot of things they don't expect a customer to see because you're not going in there to check that stuff.also my daughter took her car in for motor mount replacement and when they fixed it left a bolt out of the new motor mount.also left a wiring harness loose on another repair they did on mine.overpriced and bad work.they tear your car up making repairs and you will never see it unless you decide to work on it yourself so beware!!!

Poor Diagnosis,
I brought my truck to Bennett Automotive, I told them I thought it was the transmission. Well I was told that they weren't sure exactly the issue but told I need a transmission and transfer case. I asked way the transfer case and I was told that it would save on labor to do both at the same time if it was bad. This shop is more of a parts changing shop than a proper diagnosis shop. I guess if you change out all parts even if some not an issue than you bound to fix the problem. The only issue is the customer could pay thousands of dollars that isn't needed. The total would be 7900.00 dollars. So I took my truck a transmission shop for a second opinion and wow under 3000.00 with a 24 month warranty. Also Bennett charged me 260.00 for the misdiagnosis. I won't be going back and I will spread my experience to hopefully save someone else from wasting their money.

Don’t use these crooks
I took my car in for a starter replacement. They did put a remanufactered starter on put when I was washing my car I noticed a bolt was left off , laying by wipers . I took it back and they acted like I was lying . A mechanic came out and put a bolt in . Never said they were sorry or any care of inconvenience at all . They were way over price of the dealer but they were convenient so I used them . They lost my trust . Stay away from these shotty crooks !!

Peter said he got the air conditioner repaired at the business, and it is leaking again. He has had good experiences in the past so he would still recommend them.

Frustrated
I took my car to Bennett's after it was making funny noises. $832 dollars later, it was still making the same noises, and additional noises because the lug-nuts were not put back on. I was told later that I should never drive with the lug-nuts off, and that my safety was in danger! Although the mechanics were friendly, I drive an average of about 4 hours a day for work and just want to be able to trust that my car is working right.

Jody said she is beyond mad because she paid to have a diagnostic done to her vehicle. When she picked up her vehicle, she drove off and her vehicle stopped. When she called back to tell them, they told her the battery was weak. They told her the throttle is bad and her vehicle would not go over ten miles an hour and they told her that they knew all of this. She does not understand why they did not tell her any of this when she picked up her vehicle. She will never recommend this facility to anyone.

We reached out to Jody about her issues and it appears to be some type  of communication problem with interviewer.Jody said problem was not with our diagnosis but with different shop that installed battery and throttle body

Price charged a LOT higher than price quoted
When Mr. Bennett's Automotive called my husband and quoted the price we felt like it was a bit high but we had to have our car fixed so we agreed to the price. When we got there to pick up the car up it was TWICE the quoted amount. When my husband said he was quoted a totally different amount over the phone Mr. Bennett's Automotive shrugged and said "That's not what I told you". We were over a barrel and he knew it so we had no choice but to pay the outrageous amount because we did not get a quote in writing. Believe me when I tell you it was a lesson learned, we will be getting quotes in writing on EVERYTHING from now on. Also, we will NEVER NEVER NEVER use this place again and will tell everyone we know to steer clear of them.

Don said this business repaired his vehicle and it broke down on the side of the road. He took it to a Dodge business and they repaired it for $2,000 and he lost $600 in wages dealing with the repair from the Dodge business. This business used aftermarket parts that were not compatible with his vehicle.

Martin said the business did 1 or 2 things. He paid over $2000 to replace some parts, but the problem he originally brought the vehicle in for is still there. For this reason, he would not recommend the business.

I hate leaving negative reviews.
Everyone makes mistakes. This business has a lot of good reviews and probably normally does a great job but my experience was not great. I'm not gonna go into details or dog this place but I found the issue on my own and what I was told the problem was it was not by a long shot. Everyone was extremely nice though and even gave me a ride home when I dropped my vehicle off.

Charles said he felt like he was being pushed into paying for something he did not need. They were trying to get him to buy a compressor and a condenser. Since he did not purchase the parts, they would not service his vehicle. He had already paid for the diagnostic.

Car Service
I took my car in to resolve a transmission issue. I explained to the representative what the issue was prior to leaving the car in the shop.He expressed that the problem will get resolved. Upon completing the service on vehicle, he told me to drive the vehicle for a year since a new slave cylinder and clutch was put in. Upon arriving at the dealership, I test drove the vehicle but didn't solve the problem. The representative advised to just drive it for 2 years and it would eventually wear off. Even though the problem wasn't fixed, the representative tried to charge me over 900 hundred dollars. I will not recommend this place to do repairs, shady business practice. Also, the shop that he referred doesn't even replace transmission for manuals.

Not satisfied
I picked up my vehicle just before closing time on Wednesday evening 12/21/16...

Before I got to the end of the road my car stalled which was why I brought it in for servicing...

I drove it back immediately and my car stalled again as I put it in park. I told the gentleman that the issue is still ongoing at which time the gentleman drove my car for a brief couple of minutes and said that it seems to be running fine... He was correct, it did run fine for the short amount of time that he drove the vehicle...

The other gentleman told me that the problem was most likely the ignition starter switch and that the car electronics probably thinks that the key is in the off position....

After making it home that evening which took me about 40 minutes even though I live about 15 minutes away I parked my vehicle.

The following morning I called a lock and key professional to see if he could fix the ignition which I assured me that the only way the ignition would stop is if I physically turned off the key.

Needless to say, my vehicle is still parked and not working...

On a positive note, I understand that sometimes vehicles seem to be repaired and I feel that Bennet's automotive is employed with very honest fully qualified mechanics and they are very nice people. I also feel that they honestly thought that my vehicle was repaired, unfortunately however, I would be dishonest if I were to rate them above a two... I give them two stars for cordiality...

I can't in clear conscience recommend them to friends as of this time.

negligence
Though I appriciate how fast we recieved our vehicle back I was disappointed when I had to take time out of my wifes and my day to bring the car back to the shop do to negligence of the mechanic for leaving a pair of vice grips clamped to fuel hose causing gas to not be able to be pumped into the car. Not sure if this could or has caused any other damage but was offered nothing more than a sorry when he realized what he had done as soon as we pulled into the parking lot.

my experience was the amount of money i spent on repairs -- i think my truck should be performing better -- after driving it for a week it seems to be sluggish like it has no power -- fuel mileage doesnt seem any better -- after spending 1000.00 dollars im not completely satisfied-- i was hoping to have found the last mechanic shop i would ever need.
Jim B. from Bennett's Automotive responded on 06/26/2015

Kevin,Sorry to hear you are disappointed, when dropping van off your request was to pass emmission, the check engine light was on and engine had a misfire. The diagnosis was done, estimate given and work performed. When vehicle was delivered these problems were corrected. If you would like I would be glad to reinspect your van.Remember though, you do have a 2000 Ford E250 box truck, loaded with plumbing equipment,a V6 engine and over 200k on the odometer.
