We Always try to keep your Auto Care as reasonably priced as possible. We check our prices with our competitors often and are very often less expensive than the competetion. That being said having ASE certified techs and top shelf parts along with a 24 month 24 tousand mile nationwide warranty definetly adds to the value. Linda said she had her vehicle towed to this business thinking she needed service, but found out that she was out of gas. She was charged $273 for a tow and 5 gallons of gas. She stated $273 is a lot of money for a 5 mile tow and 5 gallons of gas. Her vehicle wasn't even serviced.

Unskilled mechanics and no warning of a five fold increase in price
Dropped a 2014 Dodge 2500 RAM off on Friday to get winter tires installed and balanced. Was told $95. Was called Friday afternoon and told their mechanic broke a stud and they couldn't get a new one until Monday. Monday at noon, I picked up the truck and tab was $479. No warning. I own 7 Dodge trucks and each has tires changed twice a year. No tire service ever ruined a single lug nut yet, according to them, their mechanic ruined 9 lug nuts at $18 each and it took their mechanic 1-1/2 hours to replace the broken stud. ONLY thing mentioned in the phone call Friday was an apology for breaking the stud and the fact I couldn't get this truck back until Monday. NOTHING was said about ANY increase in price. I WAS going to give him another truck to change tires on and was seriously considering using them for all of our truck service but not now.

Good Morning June. In response to your survey I feel the need to respond. I realize that having you vehicle in the shop for a headlight renewal on your 2006 Honda Accord that cost 100.00 seems expensive. I"m sorry that you feel that way but I'm not sure that you realized what we had to do to get that done. We and to have one of our service writers correctly document the repair and then an ASE certified tech had to not only get the headlight but also install it. We also warranty the headlight and installation for 24 months or 24000 miles. I feel in todays market that 100.00 total for the service is not only reasonable but fair. We get it, auto care and maintenance is difficult to pay for but we must charge for it and be able to pay our techs,consultants etc. With that being said we will always do our best for the customers we serve. Jackie said she took her vehicle in to have a hitch put on which was great. She also asked them to check if the transfer case was going or if it was only a sensor light problem. They did not even look to see if there was a problem with the transfer case. They only checked the light. She had already had it at another business that told her the transfer case was going and she had taken it into this business for a second opinion. They charged her $100 and did not do what she had asked them to. They told her she had a leak but she already knew that.

WORK OK - OVERCHARGES ON PARTS
While the work they do has always been satisfactory, their over-charging for parts is totally unacceptable - 2-3 times MORE than the retail price at Napa Auto Parts, which they probably get even cheaper than I would get walking in off the street. While I don't mind anyone making a reasonable profit, price-gouging your customers doesn't make me very inclined to return and will pass the word on the "system-generated mark up" as was explained to me by the shop manager when bill was paid. Customers beware of price-gouging on repair parts from this business.

While we here at Fishhook Auto Care do realize that parts are expensive there are a lot of things to consider when we price our parts. The expenses of running an auto shop and the warranties that we have to cover are costly.
We warrant all of our repairs for 24 months or 24000 miles nationwide. We must pass these cost on to our customers to remain here to serve the community. The cost of our parts is only one part of the total price of the repair cost. We always try to focus on our customers total cost and do the best repair for the vehicle to keep all our customers safe.

While there are different techniques to repairing todays complex vehicles we had a ASE certified master technician thoroughly diagnose your vehicle and  that was recommended to be the best remedy to your concern. We verified that the proper voltages were not being provide to the main computer and that the recommended solution was to renew that position sensor. We stand by the decision that was the best repair we could have done given the concerns that they have had across the country for that component. Diane im not sure how we were not competitive on the pricing on your vehicle. We did put the tires on your vehicle as you requested. We are well in the competitive pricing range for comparable services in this area. We always want to be as reasonable as possible in our pricing but that being said auto care requires a lot of skills and frankly we must charge our customers accordingly. We are always trying to find a less expensive options for our customers and constantly work with our customers vehicle as though they were our own. Safety has to be our first priority.

Bait and switch?????
This was the third time I have used fishhook tire that the price exceeded the phone quote. I was quoted 300.00 for my tires when completed the bill was for 341 I asked what happened to the 300 quote and was told how does 317 sound paid it and left I will never return it has been years since a previous e perience wAs hoping the service was back to the "old days"service but it was not to be

Had a engine knock and oil leak with a check engine light come on so I Took it in and they gave me an estimate of 1050$ to replace oil seals and whatnot came into pick it up charged me 1100$ and gave me another estimate for 1850$ to replace lifters. Truck still had check engine light and a bad knock. Would of been nice to know upfront. Will not return.

Charges too much
I was charged $323.00 for a battery and install. The car was towed in because the battery would not hold a charge. I was initially charged $90 to look at it an then another $54 to install the battery. I think the service charges were too much. The $90 should more than cover the installation of the battery.

In looking over the repairs that were done on your Subaru the repair charges that you were charged were in fact accurate and right in line with the time it takes to properly diagnose and install the battery in your vehicle. While we are very mindful of the expenses involved in diagnosing and repairing vehicles today we strive to keep your repair cost low by employing Ase certified technicians and keep them up to date on their training. We in working on your vehicle cannot afford to misdiagnose and replace components needlessly. That takes time and well time equals expense. Ken said the day he received his vehicle from this business, he drove over a railroad track and his brake caliber came loose. He mentioned this was after he paid $1,882 to have the work done on his vehicle. The employee at the front desk said they did not take the caliber off when they removed the outer tight rod. He stated they made it seem like they were not responsible for this part and he felt he was lied to. Also, his ABS warning light continues to come on when he specifically asked this business to take care of the issue. He was told they would have to do a separate diagnostic, to check out the ABS warning light. He was not happy to hear that he would have to pay another $95 to do this. He doesn't understand why they did not bring up the ABS warning light, prior to receiving the initial diagnostic. Overall, he was not very happy with service he was given. He expected to receive more when they did a full point inspection. He stated he will not recommend them to others, nor will he return to this facility to receive service work.

Traverse engine problems after leaving shop!
We've been coming to your shop for 8 years now and I've generally been very happy so I wanted to email before posting a review of our last experience. But, I haven't heard back yet...so here it is: On Thursday 6/25/15, we brought our 2010 Chevy Traverse in for a pink fluid leak (it turned out to be a water pump leak) and we subsequently had the water pump replaced. We picked up the Traverse on 6/26/15. Within less than 1/2 a mile of driving out of the shop (I hadn't even gotten to the light at the corner of Fishhook and Seldon), there was a weird clicking/knocking noise that I'd never heard before. I called Kim immediately and let her know, then asked if I could bring the vehicle back. The vehicle is back in the shop and now I've been told that now I need a new engine! I'm not quite sure how a water pump replacement could lead to a new engine. And the timing of this brand new sound is rather hard to swallow. I have never overheated, we had the oil/filter changed a couple weeks ago and have never run out of oil (before I brought it in to your shop, the oil monitor read: 94% oil life remaining), my dad put the wrong kind of coolant in the Traverse minutes before we brought it into the shop (I drove less than 5 miles with it but the noise came AFTER the water pump replacement and coolant system flush and clean so I can't imagine that caused the knocking), and the traverse has a grand total of 64,698 miles on it so it's not super high miles. Maybe something wasn't tightened correctly when the water pump was installed? Maybe something else happened? I can't in good conscious recommend this business when I'm so frustrated!!

He has gone to this business three different times and has been very dissatisfied three different times. Also, they told him they would call him back but they never did. He would not recommend them to others because of the reasons mentioned.

We would like to have an opportunity to take care of this issue especially if it is related to any repairs that we have performed. We offered to take another look and even to completely redo the work that we had done. Todays vehicles are very complex and occasionally they will need additional repairs that are not predictable even with a very detailed professional inspection. oil change comes with body damage
I had the oil changed and the tires swapped out last week. The running boards were damaged in the process. Kim told me that it could not have happened in your shop and that my son probably was joy riding and caused the damage. Both running boards were bent out just behind the front tires. Steve of Metal Creek Autobody looked at it and said "it was put on a lift and jacked straight up."
I've spent a lot of money with you over the years and I take care of my vehicles. I'm disappointed that your mechanic didn't own up to his mistake.

After speaking with you today and inspecting your vehicle for damage I came to the conclusion that in all likely hood we did cause the damage on your 4 runner. We offered to pay for the damage and  regret that it happened. Service Quality Great. Price increase not Great
As always, your service quality was great but I don't like the price increase on Oil change and wheel balance. After checking other reliable local providers I find that your prices are high so I will try one of them next time.
