Sadly disappointed
I have used Foltz Automotive in the past and I have pleased with the service provided. However, this past service, I was somewhat disappointed by the amount I was charged for the service. I was charged over 900 dollars for fixing two rear struts. When I researched the cost of a strut, I found it to be between 80-90 dollars, however I was charged 220 for each strut. They also charged me 300 dollars for labor and after speaking to various auto mechanics, they reported that this type of job is usually a 2-3 hour job. Unfortunately, it is because of this, that I will no longer use their service.

        When your truck was towed into our shop we checked it out right away. We had called you, and gave you an estimate. You had told us to go ahead, and fix it. You also told us there was no rush, cause you only use the truck once a year. You called us in the begining of October, and said you needed the truck in two weeks, and we made sure it was done when you needed it. We did everything you requested.

Lee said he found out the vehicle could not be driven right away, and the business had already closed. They were closed Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday. The original work was great. However, they forgot to properly attach the panel underneath the front of the vehicle. He had to spend $4-$5 to get parts to fixed the issue himself. The service seems good, but they need to make sure that the loose ends are tied up. He would still recommend them to others.

            We were in the wrong for not calling you about the starter, and battery. We were trying to get the van back to you as close to the time we quoted you. We didn't realize it needed these two items due to sitting for such a long time. We had origanally towed the van in for a brake line, and a fuel line leak. Due to the age of the van, time is has been sitting, and the van coming from New York everything underneath was rusty. Everything we touch under there broke. Rathing then making one brake line we had to make four, and the fuel line connectors are discontinued and we had to make our own. If we would have called you everytime it needed another item repaired it would have taken a lot long to complete your van.

Always reliable, friendly and at a fair price.
We've been using Foltz's for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. If I ask for something and don't need it done, the guys tell me so. My reaction is always, "Is that all it's going to cost".

My car now has cluk noise in the stering and a clicking noise in the engine. The sreringwas repaired in a previous visit.
My car has a clicking noise in the engine. And a clunking noise in the sterring. You replaced the sterring collum in a previous visit and the intake manifold this last visit. These are new problems, not experienced before this last repair.

David said he was quite surprised when he learned after arriving home that his fluids had not been topped off. He and his roommate ended up topping off the fluids. He has never had an oil change at any business that has not topped off the fluids. He does not know if their policy is to not top off, or if the technician forgot to do it.

I gave it a 4 star because of the people are very nice and didn't charge me a lot for the second time.
I was a little upset cause they didn't fix the problem and I thought maybe since I paid them to fix it I wouldn't have to pay more. I do like the service and they try their best!

Thank you for the nice review you have given us. We would rather had been a five star, but the code P0446 - EVAP Vent Control Problem is a hard code to diagnose. Actually majority of the EVAP codes are difficult to diagnose.
