Not trustworthy, disorganized, sloppy work. over charging, doesn't seem to know how to fix problem, just keeps replacing different things.
Dishonest. brought car in with engine light on, get quote to replace turbo ($791). That doesn't fix it. Another month to reschedule, then replace hose for more($126.) That doesn't fix it. another month to clean sensor, that doesn't fix it. another month to replace sensors and turbo boost. ($166), engine light still on. another 2 months to replace turbo again (says warranty), STILL not fixed. Each Appointment takes about a month to schedule, but then he still keeps car for 2-5 days until he can get around it. Complains to ME about all the work he's done, but won't accept responsibility for the fact that the original problem still exists. Started out very nice, but after repeated failures he would take longer and longer to do repairs, and most times didn't even test drive it. After replacing Turbo the second time said 'he didn't have enough time to test drive, because he wanted to go home". He had the car for 3 days. Engine light was still on after 10 miles.
If he takes over a month to schedule an appointment, he shouldn't need to keep the car for 3 days to fix it.
If he offers an estimate to fix the car and have engine warning light go off, he should actually back up his work.

Par is a joke
John is a OK mechanic but not very trust worthy. I am local in Sunriver and have seen first hand the dishonesty, and manipulation. He will tell you what you want to here but seldom follows through with his word. I give a big thumbs down!

You really want feedback?
Parts need to be checked before the appointment. Oil change, waited an hour and a half, walked back and was told the wrong filter was ordered. Really? Had to wait another 45 for the part to arrive. They still, after a previous job, don't check the part before the appointment? Staff is nice, mechanic is great. Service is lame. I would not recommend them. Too bad, they could have all the local biz.

Lack of excellence
Took my car here once, got my brakes and rotors replaced, worked great for 2 months then had major issues.

After the 2 months had to get brakes and rotors replaced. Another $500 out of pocket.
Lack of knowledge and they don't take their time
Save your money.

Montey said this business had his vehicle a lot longer than he expected. He understands they were very busy but he had not anticipated them having his vehicle for almost two weeks. They have great quality of work and great workmanship. They always greet him with a smile. Excellent Service
The Par team is very good. This repair adventure, however, included a snow storm and some misdelivered parts by Napa which extended the time it took to complete the repairs. All of this was outside of the solid work performed by Par. The only reason I am giving this rating a 4 instead of 5 is because Par could be a little better at communicating status. Otherwise, it was excellent work as usual.

Steve said the business did not get all his information when he first took his vehicle in. He said a phone call interrupted the person he was talking to causing them to not get his phone number to call him when his vehicle was ready.
