Marked improvement
After receiving a personal call from Greg May , he helped facilitate a resolution for my prior repair woes. The repair was done right and double checked. I was pleasantly surprised to find my car was cleaned when I picked it up. That was a nice touch. Thanks for getting it done right!

Service Department Lacking
My one star review stands. I just tried twice to call the number you posted in your response and it is a wrong number. Your business’s service department will cost you a future sale with this one-time loyal customer.

My husband and I own two Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles. Both of them were purchased new at this dealership. I love the vehicles so much that I encouraged a friend to shop there and she bought a Tucson. While I love the vehicles, the lack of customer service, effectiveness, and efficiency at their Service Department is sorely lacking. Although I made appointments to have my husband's vehicle fixed, it took three visits to get parts to the seat ordered and replaced and the motor replaced for a window. I also purchased new tires for my vehicle there and although I had an appointment and dropped the car off before eight that morning, it was well after five o'clock before it was serviced and finished. The older gentlemen, I believe his name is Jeff, is very nice, customer friendly, and apologetic when something is not going right. However, the younger men in the Service Department do not seem to have a clue about what goes on there. This may well cost them future sales as I do not know having a vehicle I love is worth the price and hassle of dealing with the ineptness within the Service Department.

We called you multiple times but heard nothing back from you when we go the part in. We had the part sat aside but when we never hear from you we gave it o someone else. I never recieved a phone call from you bbut if you would like to talk about it you are welcome to call me.

My reply to you:

I just read your response. I did receive 3 phone calls from someone regarding the part on Nov 21, 2017 at 3:05pm (no message left), Nov 27, 2017 at 11:53am (no message left), and Dec 4th at 9:38am (message left) returned call on Dec 5, 2017 at 9:38am and setup appoint to have installed. The wrong part was order from the 10/31/2017 visit and had to be reordered. I never received any other calls after that. I called multiple time and never could get anyone in the services department to pickup. It always went to voicemail. I never received calls back. I placed calls on the following date and times.

Jan 16, 2018 at 1:27pm- no answer by service department left message with call back info
Jan 20, 2018 at 9:14am- no answer by service department left message with call back info

I have all my call records with incoming and outgoing calls for rolling two year period. So if your records show calls were made to me besides what I listed then that information is incorrect on your side. I did request that the service manager call me to discuss the issue on 2/19/18. The request was made with the advisor that check me out. I never received that call.

Lynn,

I’m sorry you did not have a good experience on your last service visit. We have gone thru many changes and, if you will please have some patience with us, we will get this service department where it needs to be.

I agree that your cabin air filter must not have been changed on that prior visit but, although you believe and claim “Tim Dowdell would never have okayed that”, please realize that it did happen under Tim. I had to part ways with Tim and, having gone through several service managers since I opened in June of 2015, I needed someone trustworthy to run my service department. My son, Sam, graduated from Baylor in December. He was not planning on working for me but I asked him if he would come help me fix the service department. Yes, he is young and he has a lot to learn but he is a very trustworthy person and I’m proud to have him working for me. He will be attending Dealer Academy this year as he learns all aspects of running a dealership.

If you have not changed your cabin air filter, I will change it for free or I will give you a refund for the one you were charged. I really don’t know how the ball got dropped on that, but I apologize. I will also make sure the mileage is updated in the system.

I hope you will have some patience as Sam learns. We all have to start somewhere. I would have liked to have started him in a different position, but this was a spot I needed someone to fill immediately. There will be some hiccups but I have every confidence that Sam will turn that department around.

Service department needs work
I bought my car from This dealership..so I could go here for whatever need or maintenance I would need in my car ..the last four times for oil Change when I make appointments is always a wait ..hour half for oil change is not what I call sufficient..and the service staff always is different!

This is a revision of a previous poor review where I gave this business one star (lowest rating)- now at 4 stars (very good). I purchased a Tucson 1.6 Liter with a dual clutch transmission. There have been a number of recalls on this vehicle and I am not sure I will ever be satisfied with it- BUT service personnel Tim Dowdle (service manager) and service tech (John Kerley) were outstanding. John explained the issues with the dual clutch transmissions (also put in Fords, Hondas and Chryslers). Just for fun, I googled this info and found his comments to be 100% true. As future needs happen, I will probably specifically ask for John to handle my repair work. Tim was most helpful and treated me in a professional and courteous manner. Based not on the engineering of the vehicle, but on top flight service, I can now recommend this dealership.

Great Service-But
I really thought the service tech was great but as far as the communication goes, I thought it was lacking a bit.
There were things that I wanted checked out and other things (one in particular) that I might have wanted done but I felt rushed and just left without getting them done or asking about it. I must say that I am satisfied with what was done as far as the service on my vehicle goes but felt less than satisfied that not everything was looked into that I wanted done. Very poor service experience
I brought my car in for three items on a Monday morning. I received no information all day about the status of my vehicle. I called on Tuesday and they finally told me they had ordered a part for a recall without informing me and then the wrong part came in. They didn't bother to let me know. They then kept my car until the next day. When I finally came in the next morning, they had done the recall work and replaced some Freon. They noted that I was correct on why my speaker/phone system messes up and identified the part I need but gave me no choice on getting it fixed which I would have done. It was there over two days. I also received no explanation of the recall work and was just told to sign the paper. The BIGGEST problem is I also brought it in to have them check on the clunking sound in my transmission. They did nothing on it. I suspect it is because I am 4-5,000 miles away from 100,000. Not a great job.

Watch out for the numerous add on charges when financing
The sales staff is friendly and professional as is the service personnel. However, watch out for the finance Dept. They will try to sell you thousands of dollars of add-ons. Even when you turn them down they may sneak them into your contract.

lousy service in the Service Area. excluding the actual mechanics performing the service.
While I would recommend the Service Dept.'s actual out put for work is at least average to good while the Service Advisor is less than adequate for t he job. In my opinion.
