BAD OIL CHANGE
After finding a coupon for my father so he could get his oil changed he took his truck here and two days later the check engine light was on ; looking at the oil it was way too high, I drained a ton of black oil from the truck, then some more and got it to the max.
If a monkey did this job it would of been OK but a human would have to be inept or purposefully doing it.
I'm going to speak to someone about this or pursue it deeper. Major problems occurred at the same time.

No longer my favorite place
I have been taking my cars here for many years and the service was always great. Over the past year it seems to have gotten progressively worse and the prices seem to have skyrocketed. They just lost a loyal customer in me.

Dishonest or Poor Estimating?
We took our Camry in for some repairs. The door locks were not working properly and fog lamp was broken out. They estimate 7.5 hours of work for the locks and 2 hour for the fog lamp replacement which included removing the front bumper. I called around and the lock repair was going to be significantly less time about 5-6 hours less through other places. I ended up replacing the fog lamp myself. Took me about 20 minutes and didn’t have to remove the front end to access it. So a the title states are they dishonest or just terrible at estimating? Just be sure you keep these guys honest by doing your due diligence and checking their estimates. I hope it isn’t a case of dishonesty.

Friendly staff, questionable service
I had my vehicle serviced her twice. The first experience I was a little surprised at the cost of labor to change a sensor but it did fix the problem. Second visit for leaking power steering fluid. They had the car for a week, assured me after pressurizing the system multiple times there was no leak found nore did it leak when cold and parked. Got it home and two days later found a puddle for steering fluid under the car. Staff is friendly and patient in explaining issues but can't say their work is any better than other shops that charge much less. Original issue never solved.

Disappointed on latest repairs
Having had three vehicles serviced by Metric, my level of trust in their accuracy of repairs and fairness has dropped. They've made assumptions that ended up being wrong rather than correctly diagnosing. This last visit, I was charged over $100 for diagnostics, that they wont apply to the cost of the repair. This repair that I was willing to try, may or may not help correct the problem. They should have done more to work out a fair way to get to the bottom of the issue with my vehicle.

ripoff artists! avoid like the plague 0 stars!
I had some problems with vibration/ noise and metric told me it'd be a nearly $1000 to fix! (Motor mounts) After telling them no way, they charged me over $110 just to look at it( without bothering to tell me they would up front) took it somewhere else, who was going to do the same repair for about $350 less. After having it rechecked there, they said I did not need those motor mounts repaired, it was a simple hangar bent on the exhaust and only cost $85! I've had no problems since. Will never go back to metric ever again!

First off we would like to apologize to you for making you feel like you were ripped off.

Our technicians are paid for their time diagnosing vehicles so that they may earn a living. We do charge for inspections and diagnosing of vehicle issues to help compensate the technicians for their time, and any tools or supplies used while doing these diagnostics and inspections. Our Service Advisors try to inform all new customers of this, but from time to time we fail to make it clear.

As for the diagnosis given on your vehicle, we would love the opportunity to show you, at no charge, exactly what we found and why we recommended what we did. Both the front and rear engine/transmission mounts have a substantial amount of play and were allowing the exhaust to open up causing noise and vibration.

We were surprised to hear that a simple bent exhaust hanger could fix such an issue.

We would love to put your mind at ease and hopefully prevent any further problems you may have with this issue. We would not be surprised if the motor mount movements were the cause of the bent hanger and just one symptom was repaired but the cause of that was not repaired.

Our technicians take pride in doing a thorough job of inspecting, diagnosing, and finding the cause of problems to fix them. That is why we are comfortable giving 36 month/36,000 mile warranties on the work we do.

Did not know how to fix my truck
I took my truck in for a throttle body issue. They said the recommended fix was to replace the throttle body which cost well over $1000. I did some research on the Internet myself where I found others who had the same problem. They simply cleaned the throttle body which fixed the problem. I will be performing this maintenance myself with a couple of cans of spray cleaner and about an hour of labor or so. I was charged over $50 for the Metric Motors' diagnosis. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

Did not resolve or fix original problem as discussed previous to taking in my car
Not sure yet need to go back and address original concern that was not resolved. Simple fuel line leaks even more than before I took it in now I have a puddle of gas in garage. Would I recommend to friend not too sure yet.
