Pressured sales and purchased car was not detailed well nor was gas tank filled.
We made it very clear what our budget was to purchase the car we were interested in. Yet still they tried to upsale extended warranty and gap coverage. We declined and then our salesman's supervisor came over with his numbers sheet and again without being upfront tried to get us to accept high payment terms with extended warranty and gap coverage. In fact, I had to ask if it included the warranty and gap and he said yes. I got very irritated and said I just told his employee before he left to bring him over that we were not interested in purchasing the warranty or gap. "Why not?" he asked. To me, it's none of their business we are the customers period, respect our answers and decisions without questions.

I don't appreciate being swindled into accepting terms and packages I clearly already declined.

Next, I complained the car smelled of stale cigarette smoke which I know can't be eliminated with product instantly or it wouldn't have smelled during the test drive. No discount consideration was given for this issue plus it still smells after their miracle product was used.

Also, the detailing of the car was less than acceptable. The windshield was smudged horribly and was difficult to drive home. Also, no one failed to fill the tank which is common courtesy when you purchase a vehicle. It had less than a quarter tank. Again, not acceptable.

I will not recommend Tonkin Honda to my friends or family nor will be returning customers. Very disappointed in our experience.

June 2018 had to come back to have rotors machined. That work was not completed when I had the brakes done in Feb 2018.
I am disappointed that had to come back in June to finish work that was supposed to be done when I had the car worked on in February. You have lost my trust and confidence in any work performed there.

Different vibe....and not good.
I’ve been going to Tonkin Gresham Honda for many years. The Service staff has always been spectacular in all respects and they were so on.my visit today. That’s why I consistory drive 2 Honda dealerships to get there.

However the vibe has changed. I waited for my car today for about an hour. During this time I was really disgusted by what was going on around me. The salespeople in the corner off Car were acting like a bunch of high school kids, talking lol ud, sometimes yelling at eacother with all sorts of animated behavior. There was really obnoxious music coming from the Far East corner of the dealership. I heard somethings said by the salespeople that really lacked in professionalism and respect. I sat and looked at a Civic Type R that was wearing a prominent day glow orange sign asking some $10K over MSRP. Shameful.

I’m sorry....it’s not the Tonkin Gresham Honda that I used to know.

I will say again....Service folks are SPECTACULAR. Salespeople.... dry disappointing. I can’t imagine buying a car there.

Bad tranny n deal
Purchase car on a Sunday drove one day transmission went out check cleared the bank the next day though after two weeks waiting they finally put a transmission in it for half price after receiving the car I thought the oil looks a little dirty so I took it to Ron Tonkin Hyundai where they check the oil after being warmed up and was a quart low for the money I put in the car in the money I put down on the transmission I should have had no problems driving that 450 60,000 miles this was through you guys reputable deal or I thought one of the service managers Jim ask me why I bought the car I wanted to ask him why did you sell me the car when you knew it was bad the reason I know that or think that it's cuz you cash my check the next day. Disappointed for the first time
I called to get a quote to repair the drivers window I wrote down the ballpark amount knowing that the true amount would be quoted when work was done, only to find when I called back to make an appointment the labor was almost double for the the hour required to trouble shoot the problem. I was quoted an amount to repair the window which was considerably higher as in 4X's higher, and at this time I chose not have the repair done. ( the person who gave the first quote never looked up the price of the parts)

But, I came in with a drivers side window in need of repair and left with two windows not working one up, the drivers window, and one down on the rear drivers side. This is extremely inconvenient when it is raining. I finally got the rear window to go up and now I am hesitant to use what was a working window before Honda took the front door panel off. I called about the rear window and was told that I would be charged again for labor to troubleshoot that new problem which did not exist prior to the morning visit.

Over the 17 years, with Honda I have never experienced this type of problem, with any of the 3 cars I have purchased from Tonkin Gresham Honda. I am seriously reconsidering my loyalty.

Inexperienced Salesman
The salesman we had was very inexperienced, inept, or just didn't care. We were buying a new car that was fully financed through my insurance, but he kept having us fill out the same paperwork as for dealer financing. We kept asking us why, and he kept giving us evasive answers until he finally showed that, against our wishes, he'd pulled our credit. We had to get the finance supervisor over to explain what the heck was going on - it turned out it was just a soft pull, which I guess is a new requirement of our own insurance. But the fact that the sales agent couldn't explain this in spite of numerous requests on our part left a sour taste in our mouths.

I waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for “express” service oil change
I went in for an oil change, and it took almost 2 hours. They said I needed a brake inspection, and I agreed, only to discover that the brake pads were not needing maintenance yet and so I was charged $65 to be told I might need them replaced next time.

need better press service for the cars you sell
You sold me a mustang that has a terrible knocking sound when driving over bumps. Couldn't hear them driving around city roads but the second you hit a bump it sounds like something is about to fall off. It also has a coolant leak coming from the motor. And the rear end oil was never changed. Seems like this stuff should be a standard when selling car.

I was told it would take 45 minutes to an hour and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get my oil changed.

Until you make it right then your not great.
They said they fixed it and they didn't. They shouldn't have charged us since we just bought the car. When the car gets to a normal temptress it run's rough. I told them right away it wasn't fixed after they said it was and he said he would talk to tech and find out what it could be aND he never called me.

New Accord first service
Had appointment for 1st oil change with new Accord at 9500 miles. Also requested a tire rotation. Was told that tires did not need rotation as "all had even wear pattern". That's great but I wanted my tires rotated. I can see that the wear is even. Now I have to take car into Les Swab for the service I wanted. Seemed like a simple request to do ?

Deceptive practices
I agreed to a monthly payment assuming it reflected the numbers we discussed, and it wasn't until I got home that I discovered it included almost $4000 in extras that NOBODY discussed with me. I suppose it's my fault for not paying closer attention to the paperwork, but I purchased new vehicles there in 2012 and 2015 and they were completely above board... I really didn't expect them to pull something like that with a repeat customer. I mean, how STUPID can a business be?

Oil change / long wait for unasked for inspection
I went in for an oil chsnge and he recommended $500 worth of other actions. My 2011 has indicators telling me when regular maintenance is due. So is the mechanic wrong or the indicators??? My regular mechanic checked my car 2 months ago and told me all was okay. So I feel like your mechanics are encouraged to accellerate repairs to get more money. I dont trust your mechanics suggestions. Especially since I only asked for an oil change. I did not ask to wait an hour for an inspection. It made me late. I wish they would have asked before wasting my time.

Wha Ha Ha Ha! If you would like to know why then have the General Manager Call Me personally. Americans spend too much time filling out these damn surveys.
The Service department did not do their job. The Finance Dept, did a poor job. The Sales Dept gave me erroneous information with regards to DEQ requirments.

Long wait
I had a 9am appointment for a"B" service on my crv. When I made the appointment they said it would take 1 1/2 hr. It got done at 1:30. However the customer service after was good 😊
