A little slow
Will probably go elsewhere from now on for my oil changes and tire repairs. I’ve taken my car to Les Schwab for tire repairs and it’s always been free. Honda charged me. It also took well over an hour for “express” service.

Lackluster service
My service sheet was not filled out this time and the person who performed the inspection could not be found when I was called up to check out. I know my oil was changed but I have no idea if there are problems I should be aware of. I could tell the service department was busy today, and at the same time it didn’t seem like I got the quaility of service I usually get. I felt like I paid a lot for service inspections today and am not confident I got what I paid for?

ONLY RESPECTED CUSTOMER UNTIL YOU SIGN THE PAPERS
WE PURCHASED A 2017 FORD. WHEN I ASKED MICHAEL THE SALESMAN ABOUT TRANSFERRING MY PLATES ON 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS HE SKIRTED IT. AFTER WE GOT HOME I ENDED UP HAVING TO MAKE 3 CALLS TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THAT STRAIGHTENED OUT. ASH AND TAMMY WERE MOST HELPFUL.
I WAS ENCOURAGED TO PURCHASE WARRANTY INSURANCE BY MICHAEL AND MARK. WE WERE TOLD WE HAD TO PURCHASE IT THAT DAY BUT THAT WE HAD 60 DAYS TO CANCEL IT IF WE CHANGED OUR MIND. WE SIGNED UP BUT WERE NOT GIVEN LITERATURE WHICH EXPLAINED THE CONTRACT AND ITS BENEFITS NOR WERE WE INFORMED ABOUT DEDUCTIBLES OR LENGTH OF POLICY AVAILABLE. NEXT DAY WE FIGURED OUT IT WAS ONLY FOR 5 YEARS AND $200 DEDUCTIBLE, WHICH IS NOT ADEQUATE FOR OUR DRIVING HABITS. WE CANCELLED THE INSURANCE THE NEXT DAY. WHEN WE GOT IN THE CAR WE REALIZED WE DIDN'T HAVE THE CODE FOR THE KEYLESS ENTRY. WHEN I WENT BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED, MICHAEL SAID WE DON'T HAVE IT YOU'LL HAVE TO GO TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. WE WENT TO FORD AND PAID $35 TO HAVE THEM GET US THE CODE. WE LIKE THE CAR BUT OUR BASE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY NEGATIVE WITH THE SALES PEOPLE.
ASH AND TAMMY WERE VERY HELPFUL AT RESOLVING OUR ISSUES, BUT I WOULD NOT SEND MY FRIENDS TO THOSE SALES PEOPLE.

Took 2 hours to change oil
Warn the customer of the wait time. I was given a hour window as is... quickly went to almost 2.5 hours

We truly try to reduce wait times. This can be tougher when completing a service on a Non Honda Vehicle. Al lot of wait time is for filters and correct oil. We will keep working at improving.

Air conditioner in my 2018 Honda Accord Sport
Not sure where to start but I really don't think that having metal hanging from my mirrors is going to cause my air conditioner in my car to quit working, I am sure there are about 1,000,000 Honda Accord owners out there and I am sure some of those have stuff hanging from there mirrors, think they were just looking for an excuse because they could not figure out what is wrong with the air conditioner.... someone needs to dig further into these problem before my air quits completely and it will cost more to fix.

As described in the above concern. We definitely were unable to duplicate this concern. The system work with a very low voltage. The metal hanging could ( just a thought) cause a small voltage charge when the vehicle is moving. This was just a thought that is it. Our suggestion was not to remove the items completely but, rather remove them for a short period of time.

Labor costs are too high
I have no problem with service. Labor costs are too high. I would recommend shopping around for a better rate. I was there for an hour and ten minutes. Labor charge was $295.09. I would have given 5 star except for labor cost.

Oil change takes too long.
I came in for an oil change and it took over two hours, double the longest wait time I was told it would take. This is frustrating since I have to sit and wait for my vehicle. I've had this issue the last three times I've come for an oil change. I've tried to just make an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait so long and they wouldn't let me. They do a good job so I don't want to go elsewhere, but they need to stick to the time they tell you or at least come and explain why it's taking so long and apologize for the wait.

We now have the option to schedule online by visiting TonkinGreshamhonda.com. Select "Service" and "Schedule Service" and follow promts. For express non-appointment service. Check out our Express service drive camera, also found in the "Service" drop down. This will allow you to see how many vehicles are waiting in the Express Service Line. The average service takes 38 minutes in this lane. Make sure to refresh when leaving the camera up.

Service/Long wait since service was ordered well in advance
I was shocked at the amount Tonkin would charge to a fix on the front grill. I looked up the part amount, listed at $74.45 and your charge would probaly be $99,oo+/-. PLus the labor. Your cost less replacement article was $488.00-$99.00= $389.00Labor. Based on $45/ Hour that would take 8.64 hours. I dont know your shop rates, probaly higher, lets say $65/hourStill that leads to5.98 hours or rounded up 6 hours. Very strange.

Okay Interior Detail
Maybe my expectations were too high. But, I think I could have hired a high school student for a third of the cost and got similar results. Front windshield had smears, temp control knobs weren't cleaned well, and beach sand was visible in the rubber seams in the trunk. But everyone was nice and the rest of my service was excellent.

Somewhat ok!
Thought a deal could of worked out on the C5 BMW my wife wanted, they were much more willing to work numbers on another car,

So in short we got a nice smaller suv with 24k miles and will be trading it in for a BMW probably in a year.

Estimate issues
This is the third time in recent history where we have been given a quote and then when the car has come in for the repair, been charged at a higher rate. Not once or twice but it’s getting to be a pattern. It leave us with the impression that we are not dealing with a group with integrity. It shouldn’t be so difficult to have a clear expectation of charges when bringing our car in for service.
