We purchased our first diesel truck (2012 Ram 2500) and learned it needed to have an emissions test b
efore we could get its registration for plates. A quick Google search showed Excel was a facility close to where we live that rec'd really strong reviews. The team there was quick to answer my phone call and explain to me the processes for getting emissions and for regular servicing of the truck. Steve, the tech I spoke with, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He asked me about the service history of the truck, which I had records of. He shared his thoughts on what should be serviced right away and what could wait for the next service interval. He was able to get me scheduled in right in time for when my plates expired so I could complete the registration. After the service, Steve was thorough in explaining the checks they perform and where there were areas of concern. Since they don't have a service history of the truck in their systems, we mapped out what needed to be serviced next and at what mileage.
Being a first time diesel truck owner I was told certain additives are recommended to keep the truck running in top condition. I asked about additives, and was informed about an all-in-one additive they sell through the shop. Since I had already paid for the service, they were willing to put an 8oz bottle in the truck for me for when I picked it up. They asked me to just come back the following week to pay for it.
I will definitely continue to take our truck to Excel Diesel & SUV going forward for all service and maintenance. I highly recommend them.
