Overcharged $4300 worth of useless add-ons
This review is for the sales management and not the salesperson. My salesperson actually had no control over pricing. I was in the market for 3 new cars to give to my mom, dad, and wife for Christmas and paying cash. Russell Westbrook of Anaheim had to add on $4300 worth of useless add-ons to sell the car. I purchased 1 car here and ended up buying the 2 others at a different dealership without these crazy add ons. The other dealership mentioned MSRP is the going rate now... most dealerships are no longer doing markups as stated here. I don't mind spending money but I don't like being lied to and ripped off.

I WOULD RATHER LEAVE ONE STAR
I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE THE DEALERSHIP FIVE STARS.

I originally left a one-star review (pasted below), which I stand by. The only reason I've changed my star rating is because it affects our salesman, Jesse, who I don't think should be penalized for our horrible experience because the problems we had weren't his fault.

Original review:

Avoid
My husband and I bought a car at Russell Westbrook and our experience was horrible. We had an appointment on the day we were supposed to buy the car, but still waited nearly an hour before anyone came to help us. Then, despite the fact that we had a True Car quote for the exact vehicle we were buying, the sales manager tried to sell it to use for more than $10,000 more than the quote. It wasn't until I said we were going to leave (roughly 3 hours past our appointment time at that point) that he somehow found a way to bring the price down $13,000, in part by removing several thousand dollars in extras he previously said couldn't be removed. Overall, we spent close to 6 hours at the dealership and left incredibly frustrated.

The car we bought that day had a small defect that needed to be fixed before we could take it home. The manager explained that to us and said we would be able to pick it up the next day and that we'd receive a call when it was ready. The next day we received no communication from the dealership whatsoever, even after I called multiple times to try to get an update. The day after that I called several times again and each time got a different person who said they would take my name and number and promised to get back to me. No one ever did.

The issue ended up being a shipping delay to the dealership, which is understandable and outside their control. But the lack of communication was unacceptable. It truly felt like as soon as we signed the sales paperwork we no longer mattered to anyone there.
