Problem not solved.
Left car at dealership with 3 items to repair- oil change, trunk not locking, check tires. Contacted car was ready work completed. Went to pick car up noticed no courtesy wash. Couldn’t wait around. I ASSUMEd everything done. Got home and tried to lock trunk. Didn’t work. Checked air in tires and realized over inflated based on manual. Called and left message for Service person. Never got call back. Should have read Yelp comments before I went there. Shame, shame, shame.

Seems like they aren't even trying anymore
I have always heard less than stellar things about the service department at Hyundai. I went to the one on Hyundai 112 for quite sometimes. And after having to call them 30 minutes before closing multiple times, to see if my car was done and the car not being fixed when I picked it up, I started going to Atlantic Hyundai. The customer service was much the same, but at least the car issue was fixed when I picked it up. In fact for the longest time I had an issue with the Air Bag light going on whenever the driver seat was moved by my wife, then back by me. This problem was brought to the service department multiple times. In fact the seatbelt was replaced at least once in the past as I was told that was the issue. Two years ago the car was in for unrelated service, and the service rep actually called me, stated she was going over my file and that she and a service tech found information suggesting the issue was actually a loose wire connection under the seat and they fixed it with a zip tie. I was very much thankful she went above and beyond to solve an issue I had for years. In fact in hindsight I am a bit concerned that I may have been driving a car with no airbag for years, due to a design flaw. (If you search online, this issue is a known problem.) Which brings me to my most recent two visits. My car was dropped off on 12/20/21 for an oil change, inspection and because the airbag light came on again after the seat was moved up and then back again. I also had an incling the brakes needed to be done. The first day the service rep called informed me of the necessary brake repair, I explained to him the history of the seatbelt and he advised the seatbelt buckle needed to be replaced. I told him I had this issue numerous times, tried that fix, and I believe it to be the wires under the seat as my vehicle service history should show. He told me the buckle repair was covered by warranty and they needed to order the part and they would schedule an appointment for the installation. He also advised that it wouldn't affect the inspection and the service tech had preformed the inspection. This whole process took over three days. I would be called by the service rep, either answer or miss the call, call him right back. Twice told he was on the phone so I left a message (the answer to his original call) and said if there is an issue to call me back. Both times he did not get the message as the next day, yes the next day, not in an hour or two, not half a day, the next day, he'd call and say I tried to get in touch with you about your car we need to get it fixed and off the lot. This was very frustrating as I was without my car for a week around Christmas because it seems the receptionist can take messages, but not give them to the proper person. I was a bit shocked that the service rep after not receiving a message or hearing from me would just forget about it until the next day. Real kicker was the sales department called me during this time to try to sell me a new car. Needless to say the car was finally finished and I went to pick it up. $850 total, and when I got in the car. It wasn't inspected and the airbag light was still on and it was filthy in the inside. None of the work I requested was finished, but the service department was closing so I took the car hoping when the seatbelt buckle came in everything would get completed. Unfortunately I was never told of my next appointment, because I was not given one. I waited a few days and then just made another appointment. Keep in mind each appointment was a month wait time. Before my appointment I called three times to check if the part was now in stock, so I didn't waste my time. Each of these times., I was told I'd receive a call back and didn't. On 1/26/22 I dropped the car off again, for the work that wasn't done originally. That day I was called by a new service rep and told that the car needed to be driven for 100 miles to reset sensors in order to do the inspection. Which was insane to me. I come to find out that during the first visit the battery had died. Which I find suspect since my radio presets were still the same and when the battery dies or is disconnected, my aftermarket stereo resets the presets. So unless the service tech guessed every station correctly and reprogrammed my presets after the battery died, the battery didn't die. The service tech said the car could be picked up, driven to reset the sensors and brought back to save on labor. But I asked if I had to wait another month for an appointment, to which he replied most likely. Reluctantly I told the service rep to just have the car driven and I would pay the labor. I also explained to him the airbag light/buckle situation, I was told was warrantied. The part was never ordered, and I was told that it was not under warranty. Even though I didn't even think the buckle was the issue, I asked to talk to the original service rep, from my first visit as he told me it was. At this time I was advised he doesn't work there anymore haha. I told him to not bother with the buckle replacement as he didn't have it in stock and it was going to cost me over $500 to replace. I also expressed my frustration on the lack of communication, the time frame it took to not even fix a problem and the cost incurred. I picked the car up that night, paid $200 more to finally get the car inspected. When I looked inside the airbag light was obviously still on, and there was a soda left in the center console, that was not mine. Hyundai used to put down paper floor mats to protect cars and keep them clean during service. Now they leave Pepsi's in the center console for your refreshment. Long story short, I paid a lot of money for a very little amount of substandard work. The irony of the whole situation is I was getting the work done in order to give the car to my niece as I am in the market for the new G70 Launch Edition. Safe to say I am reconsidering this decision.

Atlantic Hyundai Service Dept is great
The ONLY reason for not giving 5 stars is because there was a miscommunication of what I requested completed. Once the advisor realized the error it was rectified quickly. Highly recommend the Service Department at Atlantic Hyundai

Not up to dealership quality
The repeated failure to return the vehicle to me with the spare donut tire not put back after service was completed on 3 separate occasions is just a complete missed opportunity of a decent review.

Fine for what could be done
Justin in the service department is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and is HONEST. A lot of the people in the dealership department lack honesty. My apple car play doesn’t work. Whether i’m using my GPS or my music, it doesn’t work. When i’m driving i have to mess with it because it randomly disconnects or just doesn’t connect at all. Shouldn’t be happening with a brand new car. After bringing in my car a couple of times, they finally said Hyundai apple car plays don’t work and that there’s something wrong with them. WISH I KNEW THIS WHEN I WAS LEASING THE CAR. I unfortunately was not told about it. So now not only am I paying for something that i absolutely hate and a feature that doesn’t work, but there’s nothing to be done until they find a solution. seems like they’re not working too hard on doing that. Although my car sucks and i will NEVER lease another hyundai, Justin was great.

I received a call on my cellphone. I was not available to pick up at that moment. A message was not left, therefore, I did not know who called. I called the number back about an hour later. It was then that I learned my car was done. If the service person would have left a message I would have had my car an hour earlier

Justin Moseman service advisor is great ?? ??
I felt that Justin went above and beyond researching the warranty information and contact with Hyundai corporate.
I wasn’t happy about having to replace the steering column on my car that had only 22k miles on it. Only 12 of them mine.
Justin showed compassion and cared enough to thoroughly do his best to help cushion the blow. He called corporate and remained diligent to get them to offer a partial goodwill replacement.
I’ve never felt that any other advisor really gave a sh*t. This wasn’t the case with him. All of the advisors should treat customers with the same respect and compassion.
The repair also took longer than expected and he kept me updated the best he could. Even when the tech neglected to attach something and I needed to revisit the service dept, Justin ensured that the problem was rectified in a short amount of time.

Justin is the best in service
Justin is by far the best service advisor I’ve had in a long time at Atlantic. He is a refreshing and honest guy. He sat with me and explained all my options with my car he was very friendly and knowledgeable. My car had an issue where it had no power and he got me back on the road with in a short time. Thanks again Justin and Atlantic Hyundai I will always return here
