they didn't make it easy
gate keeper person blocks calls, making it extremely hard to reach by phone. slow to return call and follow up on issues, then forgot to check the cam phaser issue when the vehicle was in the shop. said it dropped off the work order. service manager finally called, but didn't identify himself until I was irritated that he didn't know the previous conversations. Rokstad did a much better job.

A quick diagnosis of the electrical problem led to a quick solution of replacing the light socket and new wiring harness. It took about two hours and we were out and on the road.

Recall Service
I brought my pickup in for a recall service (2nd in two years). The work done didn’t fix the problem. Now I need to wait for the future recalls. In the meantime I’m assured that the problem won’t leave me stranded, yet the shuttering is not reassuring, especially when I usually have a small child with me and would hate to get stranded in our current weather conditions. I also have concerns about the effect this problem may have on the vehicle long term. We have owned many Ford vehicles, but I am definitely considering another make.

They saved me money!
I had one quote from a different place and decided to get a second opinion at Mike White Ford. The final bill to fix the issue was half the cost of the original quote! They got it done same day and I was impressed with the high quality of customer service they provided.

I was told I had a bad front wheel bearing and it would take one day to get the parts. I had been dropped off by friends to pick up my vehicle and had to get home so didn’t schedule it. I asked the service counter person to check on my forever warranty status for the repair and get back to me. I waited until the next afternoon to call him, Kent, and since he had not called me I called and he had not followed thru on the warranty information. He said he was too busy!! I asked to be scheduled for the service work and was told it would be February before he could get me in. The bearing was making a lot of noise and I had my friend, a retired mechanic, ride with me and he said it probably would not last a week let alone 3 months. I feel this is totally unacceptable as I had purchased the vehicle at Rockstad, the previous owner of the dealership.
As an added incentive, my wife has been after me to buy a NEW F150 which will be happening, but not at Mike White Ford. I have my F150 in a local shop in Newport and they have the approval from warranty and I will have it back tomorrow. My service work for both my F150 and my wife’s Escape will now be at that shop and I will be looking at another dealership to purchase my new vehicles.

From Jason Lindsey, Service Manager - First and foremost, I apologize for not being of service to you.  There are a couple of things that you mentioned that should be addressed on our end.  The fact that we said we were too busy to gather some information on your warranty, never should have happened.  That is not an acceptable answer.  We are taking action to make sure that response is never used again.  I understand that we couldn’t fix the bearing in your truck due to an overabundance of scheduled appts and that is as frustrating to me as it is to you.  Unfortunately, with the amount of traffic we have received this year, we are scheduling out months.  This has been a challenge for us, and we are actively making arrangements to help alleviate some of the pain point you have described.  Our intent is to try to help and there are several areas that we need to improve.  Without the input, both good and bad, we cannot do that effectively.  Its because of constructive criticism like this that we are able to make adjustments and grow as a company that is new to the Sandpoint area and as individuals!  We understand that this type of scenario cannot continue if we wish to grow with our beautiful community.  My hope is that we may be able to have a conversation at some point so that we can start to earn your business back, if you are willing to forgive us for the poor customer service that was provided.  Best wishes and God bless!
