Honest dealership experience...
I have told everyone who would listen that I will NEVER drive a Hyundai again. If I could afford to, I'd ditch my 2018 Sonata in a heartbeat. Why? Because I have had horrible service experiences with the dealership where I purchased it. This month, I chose to drive twice as far and get it serviced at Machens. Mark Hoffman was the face that greeted me and completely changed my opinion of dealerships. He listened to the issues I have been having and then told me the truth. He explained routine maintenance schedule items better than I've heard in 4 years. I left paying easily $500+ more than planned and was totally okay with the end result. I appreciate Mark taking a little extra time to be sure that I understood things and his patience when I needed it.

Mark went beyond to get me good service
At first, because the service tech was unable to duplicate the problem I'd described, I was told that they couldn't do anything. I didn't find this acceptable, so the service adviser Mark called Hyundai corporate customer service on my behalf and was able to get an authorization for an experimental remedy of the problem I'd been having. Time will tell if that took care of it, but I'm glad they were willing to pay for something.

Emergency repair of brake light sensor
I came in late in the afternoon without an appointment when I found out my brake lights would not turn off no mater what I did. This occurred the day before a snow storm was predicted. The service manager and technician immediately helped and luckily had the replacement part for my 12 year old Hyundai installed in less than an hour, again without an appointment.

Last Minute Lube, Oil and Filter Before a Holiday Trip
I worried that it had been a while since I had my Accent serviced. I knew I had to get it done since I was leaving to go back home for the Thanksgiving Holiday with about a 500 mile round trip. Figured I'd be there at the service center till noon. But, it was the chance I had to take. Better to be late and safe than a little early and stranded. But, the service person took me right in. And, within a half hour the job was done! So, I was not late leaving Columbia and I was safe to make the trip.
