Upon my initial service completed, I wasn’t a fan of this location. There seemed to be lots of miscommunication and trouble resolving my cars issues. However, after speaking with JESSICA L ALEXANDER, the service manager at my chosen location, she eliminated all of our concerns in the most professional and timely manner. I cannot speak more highly of this individual. If I could give a rating better than 5 stars- 10/10 I would! If you are seeking a dedicated, personable and extremely helpful person to work with, Jessica is the one for you she will not disappoint! Amazing service

Horrible service
This dealership is the worst Hyundai you can go to. The communication is below par, the staff is incredibly rude, my cars issues were not resolved by the service department and definitely not in a timely manner. Do not waste your time!

The service manager gave me two personal telephone calls. We discussed my issue and she answered my concern to my satisfaction.
My original issue with Lakeland Hyundai was addressed by a conservation with the service manager. I explained my reason for the less than excellent review. She listened and was very understanding to my reasoning. We discussed how Lakeland Hyundai and I could have a better relationship in the future. I appreciate the concern management has for the satisfaction of every customer.

Waited a month for an available appointment to come available. Arrived on time to wait, not seen promptly, waited 2 hours before I had to ask where my car was. The advisor, Rae, had no idea where my car was, since it had just been parked around back and never seen. I was dismissed saying 'our quick lane isn't that quick, and plus it's lunchtime." Took an additional 45 minutes to complete an oil change and tire rotation before finally being able to continue with my day almost 3 hours after I arrived.

OUE TELEPHONIC CONVERSATION EITH hEIDE WAS VERY HELPFUL!
We spoke with Customer Care Rep, Heidi. We had a few issues with the last service appointment. It had to do with recommended parts and service that were not warranted. We asked questions of the service clerk who seemed to have a serious attitude that particular day. We all have bad days! Heidi was understanding and assisted us with rectifying our problem!

Your facility provides excellent service, BUT, we understand you must make a profit! You tried to sell us a break pad repair rear end. Upon examination, we put our own pads on. We found we did not need that service and showed the service mgr. the pads. With this make of SantaFe you should have recommended front not rear!

As noted before Manny who originally called and spoke with me about additional work needs to listen to customers explanations before saying you need work done . I came to pick up my car which was about 10 to 15 mins before closing . Went inside took care of payment for the couple of things I needed done. When I was finished Heidi asked if I saw my car which was parked in holding area I said yes and I went and retrieved my car which I thought was out of the norm due to my car always being brought up to the front like always.

There were additional things that were brought to my attention which a couple I agreed to be done! But to have $1000.00 additional work that needed to be done was a bit much due to a warranty repair that I was having done to begin with. This was the first time in my 16 years in coming to your facility that I was a little disappointed in the quality of work performed this visit. I understand that we are in trying times but just thought due to having the vehicle for that period of time would have been more satisfactory.

Corroded Battery Terminal--resolved
Jessica called me & listened to my concern about the situation. She understood how I was feeling about the service last performed on my vehicle. She told me they would replace the "factory" part for me if I wish to come back in. Although we have fixed the part ourselves we may still take her up on the offer. Just to have the "dealer" part.
I feel she understood my frustration with this matter and with the advisor's lack of availability for me, the customer.
She can not fix the problem if she is not aware there is one.

Corroded Battery Terminal
I wish they would have let me know about my battery, I know they saw the corrosion since they had to remove the terminal/cable to do the work. I feel they broke it putting it back together and just closed the hood for me to get surprised being stranded 3 days late with a dead battery because of loss of connection.

Purchased 5 vehicles in 3 years, thinking we had found our go to car dealership….not so much! Latest purchase a disaster after making only 9 payments. Had oil change done at their service department and within 6 weeks, car motor blown…Yes, several reasons this could be, but no willingness to meet us halfway on repair or trade and THEN had a bill for diagnostic check before it could be released to tow truck. Had to laugh! Just be wary of any service done here and check oil level before you leave!!

While I cannot evaluate if components needed for late model vehicles are now in stock in Central Florida, I was happy to have the opportunity to drive a new 2021 Elantra as the loaner vehicle. Hopefully, in the future Advisors will be able to provide more accurate estimates for completing various repair tasks. I never did receive any response form "The Team" regarding service visit.

Starter Out of Stock In the State of Florida
I have a 2018 model year Elantra that needed a new Starter. Not having major components in stock anywhere in Central Florida for a late model vehicle, but not even within 500 miles of dealership, caused an excessive delay in the repair of my vehicle. My Advisor further stated the technician had a big project to finish before he could get to my vehicle (technician shortage?). Fortunately, I was provided with a nice 2021 model year Elantra for use during the warranted repair. During my previous visit to dealership, a few days prior to the visit for the Starter replacement, I was informed the desired services would be completed in 90 minutes. This time frame is consistent with previous visits to dealership for similar work. However, due to an unexpected computer software installation on four computers as part of a new Recall, I was informed work would be completed in 2.5 hours. The total actual repair time for all the services was 3.5 hours. My Advisor informed me the software installation was needed to prevent the "explosion of the engine." Engine failure and fire problems at Hyundai have plagued the companies for more than five years. My Advisor did take $40 off the non-warranty services performed along with warranty work due to the long wait.

Response to my review
I received a call from the service check-in person about my negative review. When I explained again my review was about the service to my car, not her personally, she asked me to speak to the Service Manager, Jessica. Jessica looked into the issues and apologized, calling me back to review service provided. During that conversation I learned that, although not stated on the service form, the tires were not rotated because the treads were not worn enough to warrant rotation.

I appreciate the call and do feel this was not a typical 'service provided', however it was enough to cause me doubt and concern that something else had been missed - and it was too late to turn back and address.

The purpose of the maintenance was an 1800 mile road trip I was making 3 days later and I stressed this at the time of making the appointment and at checking in. 200 miles into the trip I now have doubts about what service was done.

My review is not pointed at the person who checked me in and I appreciate the follow up.

1) When I received my car back and was driving home, I noticed the dash icons for oil and engine were both lit up. So I drove back and they re-set and fixed that.
2) I told the service reps both at the time of scheduling the appointment and when I checked in that I would be driving a great distance and reviewed what would be done, according to the maintenance schedule. Well, I got about and hour into my drive and found that there was NO windshield washer. It was empty.

Excellent Service by Lakeland Hyundai
I was quite surprised by the call of Heidi who mentioned about possible elimination of windy noises of my 2020 Palisade. I have been bothered by these noises since I bought it at Orlando. She did excellent job of coordinating with her staff and an expert on noise control. This kind of services is beyond the duty of a normal Hyundai service person. In addition, she volunteered to wash my car. Over all I am impressed with Lakeland Hyundai services.

This is a business that can and has done better. To have a care for 9 days and not make any attempt to contact and update the customer is totally unacceptable. I've been a customer for over 10 years and not sure where or when the decline in customer service happened. Lakeland Hyundai can't claim to be who they are and brag about the customer service they provide and treat people like that.
