Mr. R had a claim thru Progressive Insurance. Progressive is not Mr. R's insurance carrier, he was a claimant and was pursuing a cliam thru the insurance carrier of the other party. Progressive insurance wrote the estimate. The vehicle was repaired exactly as the estimate was written by Progressive Insurance. Progressive, and all insurance carriers, will only pay for damage that is directly related to the loss. Prior damage to the vehicle that is not related to the loss will not be covered by an insurance carrier. EVERY item listed on the Progressive insurance estimate was changed as per the Progressive insurance estimate. If Mr. R is unhappy with the way the estimate was written by Progressie, he should take that up with the Progressive insurance adjuster who settled his claim. Any inference that Auto Care East did not change a part isted on his insurance estimate is completely false.
