Alan, the state has become more strict on catalytic converter replacement. We are required to check replacement catalytic converter serial numbers to be sure they match the vehicle they are installed on. This converter should be authorized by the referree and a door label should be installed so you will not have inspection issues in the future. I appologize for the inconvenience but the state requirements have my hands tied. I would hate to have you lose your confidence in us because of the state smog laws.
