Ann said her insurance recommended that she have her body work done at Gerber. She went to Gerber and they gave her an estimate. She decided to go to this business later, though, for the sole reason that it is closer to her home. She said they are nice guys and the vehicle looks fine now. The owner and his mechanic son, Ryan, are acquaintances of hers. She gave the estimate to this business and figured she wouldn't have to do anything else. She expected the repairs to take a few days, but the vehicle was not ready when promised. They actually took over two weeks for a couple reasons. She stated they just would not fix the vehicle, and also mentioned an insurance delay. When she saw that delays were occurring, she requested that Ryan re-assemble the vehicle so that she could drive it and said she would take it somewhere else. He became concerned about his investment in the work and potential payment. She wasn't rude and didn't pick any fight, but he was incredibly unprofessional. He acted like he wasn't going to get paid. She isn't the type to stiff a worker. He really had her strangled because the car was completely taken apart, at a time when she was supposed to be enjoying her vacation. Some of the repairs weren't done properly the first time. He didn't know what he was doing. He's a nice guy, but he wasn't being professional or sensible, because he would not put the vehicle back together so she could use it and because he acted like she would stiff him. She would not recommend them because of the delay, because they would not re-assemble the vehicle during the delay, and because he acted like she would not pay. She was aghast that he reminded her to give their business a good recommendation afterwards. She has no complaints about the quality now, though. The vehicle looks fine.
