DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Midas executed a faulty repair TWICE and caused ADDITIONAL DAMAGE to my vehicle and they refuse to provide a refund!
I have 5 pages of notes about everything that has gone wrong over the two months I've been in discussion with Midas but here are the high points.
I brought my vehicle to the Dickson Midas for work in December. When I got it back, the engine was misfiring. So I brought it in again for them to correct the faulty repair work. The shop (Stefani) informed me that the work was done incorrectly the first time so they redid it.
When I got it back the second time, the engine was still misfiring. So I brought it in again and asked to be refunded because they were unable to complete the work and I would need to take it to someone else. The Sales Manager (David) told me that if I took it to another shop and could verify the work was done incorrectly, that I would be refunded. The other shop DID verify the work was done incorrectly, I have pictures of BROKEN PARTS installed by Midas AND they caused ADDITIONAL DAMAGE to my vehicle in the process. In order to have a working vehicle, I paid to have my vehicle repaired at another shop. So now, I'm out 1k for the faulty repair job from Midas PLUS the additional costs to the second shop.
After opening a claim through "corporate," discussing with multiple people at Midas (Stefani, David, Dustin) and WEEKS of communication (or lack thereof), I have been told that the owner will not provide any refund because the parts were under warranty.
This place is a scam. I am truly disheartened by the level of unprofessionalism and sheer lack of human decency exhibited by Midas and all of their employees. I truly hope that this review will prevent future customers from spending money at this store.
